    *********************** died on 11/2/22. We received invoice number *************** from Spectrum Enterprise on 12/17/22. We called the phone number listed on the invoice and told them that ************ had died and that we needed to cancel the service. We were told that we had to take the invoice to **************************************** in ********** in person with a copy of the death certificate to close the account.We did that but were told that they only handled residential accounts. They told us to call a specific person (I can provide the person's name and phone number if requested but did not since it is personally identifiable information). We called him while we were still at the Spectrum store, but he told us that he couldn't close the account and to call him after 10:00 Monday morning. We called him back on Monday morning after 10:00, but he again said that he could not close the account and did not have any further recommendations.A copy of the death certificate is attached. I request that Spectrum close the account. Given the fact that ************ was a good customer, the fact that we tried to notify Spectrum as soon as we knew that ************ had an account with them, and the fact that Spectrum has put my stepmother through needless hardship while she is grieving the loss of her husband of nearly 40 years, I request that Spectrum waive any outstanding amount owed.
