ServPro responded to our call on Feb. 25 when a hose beneath our kitchen sink came loose in the middle of the night and flooded part of our downstairs. They worked diligently to remove the water from our floors and walls. We signed paperwork agreeing to pay our deductible and any charges not covered by insurance.
ServPro sent a bill to our insurance company, and our adjuster responded that they had overcharged us, and that they would need to come to an agreement on the price of the work that was preformed. They never reached an agreement, and on May 16, I was contacted by ServPro and told I needed to pay them the full amount of the invoice, or they would send us to collections. They had not sent an invoice, or communicated with us at all up until that point.
I reached out to our insurance company, and I was told not pay them the amount they were asking for, because they had charged us for cleaning up contaminated water, but the water in our home was not contaminated.
I paid ServePro the amount that insurance said we owe, and ServPro sent us to collections for the remainder of the balance. From the time they initially contacted us, to the time they sent us to collections, was 13 days. I have asked that ServPro remove the lien on our home while we continue to work to resolve this situation, but they will not.
I do not believe they are entitled to any more money than we have already paid, because the job they are billing us for is not the job they were hired to perform.

Last year around April Servpro of Augusta,GA used ****** moving company to returned my household furniture and goods back into my residence. I had my contractor inspect and was told that the moving company had damaged the flooring.Their was visible damage to the newly installed flooring done by the moving company. Servpro was notified and I told them I wanted to file a claim with no success in them resolving this matter. My contractor ****** **** **** has also reached out numerous times over the last 6 months or so with management (Micheal*************) with no success. My contractor has provided Servpro with all the supporting documentation to go forward to submit for the claim. Requesting Servpro respond and allow me to file a claim to be reimbursed for the repair of the flooring.

We had a house fire. ServPro of Augusta was a preferred provider of ***** **** so they could pay ServPro directly that is the only reason we chose them. Later unbeknownst to us ServPro cancelled that contract so we were forced to pay them directly then they deliberately overcharged us for services, they did unauthorized or unapproved work after they were explicitly told to stop work by ***** **** and twice by us. They charged us for work they actually did not complete and weren't transparent at all with their communication or pricing/billing practices. Sean E****** from ServPro told us we would be consulted on everything to decide what would be cleaned or discarded. Instead they just cleaned everything including things they were told to discard in a big money grab. They charged amounts that vastly exceeded the ***** **** estimates. They sent us unitemized bills for work we did not approve for whatever amount they wanted to bill us for after they were told to stop. They could not provide a list of what they have of ours and refuse to return our items unless we pay them. We complained to ServPro corporate, the Department of Insurance, the county government and the owner of ServPro about how we were taken advantage of. The owner refused to compromise, put a lien on our house, and threatened foreclosure on our house. We are being charged storage costs and fees/penalties ongoing after being deceived by them. Sean(ServPro) asked and was told what our policy limits and payouts were ***** **** which is unprofessional and contributed to overcharging us. We are handicapped on fixed income. It is unethical and unconscionable that ServPro treated us like this. ServPro is unwilling to be reasonable/compromise and just want to make as much money as possible. They will make false promises, say they care, then exploit you as much as possible. They left our house in horrible condition, left drinks on our furniture, paintings on the floor, and their dumpsters cracked our sidewalk.
