Do not use this company as they are either indifferent or incompetent (or both). We purchased a house in Dec. 2024 in the ***** ******* area. Our realtor selected Hargrove Inspections for the inspection of the house we contracted. We made it clear to our realtor we wanted a house having a safe and usable fireplace/chimney. The inspection included the house's chimney/fireplace and in the report identified and cited only minor issues i.e. creosote buildup and exterior crown cracking. These could easily and cheaply be resolved by a a chimney sweep for around $100. We wanted a fire/chimney professional to inspect the chimney in addition to the house inspection but were unable to schedule one until after closing (our realtor minimized the need to have the chimney inspected citing her concerns we might lose our diligent duty money paid when contracting the house. which was irrelevant in that the seller was eager to sell the house having no other offers). We proceeded with the closing based on the initial house inspection which cited no structural damage to the chimney. After closing on the house we were able to have the chimney inspected again by two different chimney professionals and were devastated to learn from both the chimney had significant structural damage in the ceramic tiles which lined the flue. Both inspectors cited the cracking and missing pieces of the tiles. When asked if it were possible the damage could have been unseen in the initial house inspection, both chimney professionals agreed it was incredulous as the damage was so obvious. It was even detectable to my wife and I when pointed out by the professionals. Hargrove Inspections responded to our citing these issues on their website by their owner coming to our home to discuss the matter as well as inspecting the chimney himself. It was astonishing that even after the damage cited by two chimney professionals the owner denied seeing any damage The estimated cost to repair the chimney exceeds $**,***!

We had a scheduled inspection done by Hargrove Inspections 6/25/24. I thought the inspection was great but learned not even a month later of a leak due to excessive rain. The inspector missed a splasher that was cut short by the builder. We had to come out of pocket. I called and spoke with Kyle (the supervisor), he came out to review and admitted that it was missed by the inspector and refused any refunds for our out of pocket cost. I do NOT, recommend this company. This service was poor and things were overlooked. I repeat, I do NOT recommend this company to use.

I am not sure where to start. I will start with that I did email them (twice) and have not heard back.
We were not Georgia residence and flew in to look at homes, selected one and then Hargrove was booked to inspect it.
From the moment the remodel began, we knew the inspection was bad. One day after we closed the HVAC was out. Moved in and immediately knew the motor of the fridge is going out (sounds like a plane is going to take off). Dishwasher whines, motor going out. Leak under kitchen sink. Had to replace the entire breaker box. The sprinkler system was marked as an issue, now that's it's one, it's clear that they didn't turn it on to see OR had no idea what they were doing.
The most expensive piece is the fence. I specifically asked them to look at the fence. They couldn't have. There is a tree growing into the fence, pushing it out. There is a board completely missing AND there is a post missing. Someone just nailed 2 panels together.
Missing one or two things, got it. But we are going to be thousands of dollars into fixing our house. And, they won't even email me back.
