On April 25 I paid Tyler the owner/ operator of 2 States home services $7000 deposit for 2 separate jobs. First job was to install a sump pump in basement and add a bathroom. This job ( along with another contractor building walls for the bathroom was to be completed before May22 when roommate moved in. 2nd job was at another location which involved running all new plumbing in an entire house and plumbing 3 bathrooms. This job had no urgency.
After weeks of not showing up even though he said he was coming about a dozen different times, he finally shows up on May 15. He makes 1 cut in concrete and says saw doesn’t work. He leaves to find new saw and 4 days latter he sends another guy to jackhammer the concrete. This guy works 2 half days. On 5/23 he ran the
drainage pipe placing toilet flange 17in from wall and the sink drain sticking 1/2in outside of the wall. This was discovered on 5/24. He left to get jack hammer and didn’t return until 5/29 &worked 1.5 hrs fixing toilet but not sink. He no showed all the next week until I finally heard from him on 6/9. he said he was closing his business and going to work for someone else. He said he was going to give me my money back. I had 2 plumbers in saying there was less than 2k of work and materials done. He sent me all the receipts of purchases which totaled $689.93. The total hours between both guys is max 18 hrs. Tyler never paid his helper @ 200/day. He said he wanted to make it right and he would meet me i6/13 to discuss a payment plan. I never heard from him. I called and asked about money & drain on 6/22. He said he would come after work on 6/23. At 6 I called he said still working and asked if I still wanted home to come at night. I said yes but never heard from him again. I am living in an unsafe disaster zone because no work can be done until he fixes his screw up or I hire someone else which is very hard because he has $7000 dollars of mine that goes toward both project . I’m handy and ran supply lines
