Oct. 26th, 2024 we agreed, per contract, for RCS Roofing Company, who reiterated that the are licensed and bonded in SC. They said the cost of the roof and framing permit, required by our county, would be included in the price. They promised to do the work Nov. 11, 2024, but showed up Nov. 12, 2024. They left on Nov. 13, 2024 with an unlevel and incomplete framing job/porch and did t complete roof job. We were promised it would be corrected. We learned of a ceiling hole and leak the morning of Nov. 14, 2024. Notified RCS and later that day Jason S**********, tried to recreate the leak. He promised us that someone would be there to finish the job. By the 18th there was no communication, they wouldn’t reply to our calls, text or emails, we hired a licensed contractor to complete the work on Nov. 18, 2024. On Nov. 19, 2024 a group showed up, who said they were not employees of RCS, nor were they licensed to do this type of roofing or home framing in SC. They said Jason asked them to come over to “patch up things.” We said no, we hired a licensed contractor to properly correct after not hearing from them from Nov. 13-Nov. 19, 2024 and we will bill RCS Roofing Company for additional work. The additional cost is $3,300 that we would like back. Needless to say. We have not heard from them despite our numerous efforts since Jason offered to refund our full amount if we promised not to complain about RCS Roofing Company by text on Nov. 19, 2024.

    Response to complaint.

We entered into a contract to complete the job for $******.00 of which you have made a payment of $****.00,  We tried to contact you so that we could come out and install your roof and complete the repairs in order to finish the entire project.  We sent out the subcontractor that we use for framing to complete the front porch repair and install the needed soffit.    You turned them away.  You stated that you decided to hire someone else to complete the work instead.  Please note that during that time things were so hectic as we were desperately trying to get peoples home covered and tarped still due to the hurricane.  I understand that we were a day late coming out but given the circumstances with what was going on and the widespread need in the community, we were doing the best we could to try to accommodate everyone at once.  Again you have paid $****.00 which covers the true material cost of all the roofing materials we had delivered to your property,  that are currently installed on your roof.  We are not pursuing the remaining balance of $****.00 on your job.  We figure that more than covers the $**** you are saying you had to spend in order to hire the other contractor.

    Thank you.

I reached out to RCS roofing to get a repair on my chimney. I was informed they don’t just work on the chimney, that I would have to get my entire roof repaired for them to be able to fix my chimney. While they were doing the repair on roof I was able to tell immediately that they were installing everything incorrectly because I do have an extensive background in that same area of labor. I reached out to the lead worker to state my concern but I was dismissed. I called the business while the repair was going on and stated my concerns and I was dismissed again. In the beginning of the appointment and while making the appointment, I informed everyone I spoke with that I have problems with reading and comprehension so if there was anything I had to read or sign I would have to get my grand daughter involved. After the repair was finished the lead worker gave me a document to sign stating it was just another document associated with my loan with the finance company. I reached out to the business to let them know that due to incorrect installation of equipment within the repair job I am now suffering leakages within my ceiling and chimney. I was informed they were busy and they would get back to me when they are available. I called again because I am still suffering from leakage and more damage now because the issue hasn’t been resolved.
