    I've had a membership at Anytime Fitness for 5-6 years. My husband joined a year after me and he started teaching a class shortly after joining. We added my son to my membership almost 2 years ago. The Anytime Fitness in *********, ** which I attend has a newer is franchise owner who I've had no personal interaction with but has repeatedly cancelled my membership without notice and for no valid reason. The owner cancelled my membership in June 2022 after they told my husband they no longer needed him to teach his class. There was no verbal or written communication regarding the cancellation of mine, my son's or my husband's memberships. When I called to inquired as to why my key fob was not working, I was told our membership were cancelled due to my husband no longer working for the company. I pointed out that my membership and my husband's memberships were separate and that I received no notification regarding the cancellation, I was told they could do me a favor and waive all the fees associated with reinstating our memberships.Now a year later in June of 2023, my membership has been cancelled again just a day after they withdrew payment for the dues. Again, there was no verbal or written communication regarding the cancellation nor was there any communication about reimbursing my dues. I called to inquire about the cancellation and was told my husband and the owner had a disagreement and the owner cancelled all three memberships again.We are not on any type of family plan. That does not exist or so I've been told. I have my membership which I signed a contract for and my husband has his membership which he signed a contract for. No where in the contract does it say the club can cancel my membership without cause. This is very unprofessional behavior and I should not be responsible for fees associated with joining a new gym. I still would like to use Anytime Fitness as it is convenient. I would like my membership reinstated.
