    Was asked to give a quote for moving home to ****** **** *********. Gave a quote of $4900 for the job. Only to find out that all of the materials would not fit on his truck. Instead of getting another truck, they just left it at the old house and are extorting us for more money to bring it up.
    After contacting them again, they are refusing all together to bring it up and now have a truck load of my deceased mothers items.

    Hello,

    The above complaint has been resolved per *** *** **** ********.  None of the information stated in the complaint was accurate. The owner of the business, ** ******* ** **** *********** ******** **** completed a w**kthrough of the home and discussed with **** ******** and her mother the items that were to be moved.  At the time of the actu** move, they admitted that they had forgotten about some items.  At this time, the movers loaded the items onto one of the pull behind trailers that *** *** **** ******** have **ready came to retrieve.

     

    At no time was ****** ***** involved in any of the conversations for the actu** move. 

     

    The items that were loaded onto the pull behind trailer, per **** ********, ****** was to meet with **, the owner, to get these items.  At the time that was **lotted for ****** to get the items, when contacted, he did not want to meet with **.  He, ****** is the individu** that offered **, money to bring the items **l the way to him, which was not what was agreed upon with **** ********.

     

    Again, this has been resolved.

    I am rejecting this response because: Thankfully we have since retrieved the items so this is resolved. However, the information in the complain was accurate. Not until we filed the complaint did they offer to give us an address of the belongings. Instead of having some integrity, getting another truck and admitting they made a mistake, they compounded this fact by just leaving the materials that wouldn’t fit on the first trip at the original home. Per our conversation that ** ******* said we didn’t have, I offered him $1000 to bring the final belongings up to which his answer was “no, I’m not bringing it up at all anymore, you can come get it.” After filing said complaint, the owners of the business would no longer speak to anyone but the Fergusons, who graciously went down and retrieved them. It’s the principal of the matter and contract or no contract, he should have originally required one and not grossly underestimated the quote. Once realizing they would need another trailer should have retrieved one and renegotiated the price with our mother, who is now deceased.
