    we paid for a ski trip that they canceled and they never refunded our money back to us please stay away from this company they take your money and then cancel the trip and never refund your money

    I am filing a formal complaint against Black Couple Getaways/**************. On July 4, 2024, my husband and I signed up to attend their New Years Cruise that was scheduled to take place 12/30/20241/3/2025 on ******************. The total cost of the trip was $3725.97 which included the trip ($3500.97) and a jet ski excursion ($225). I made monthly installments of $875.24 from July through October 2024 and 1 payment of $225 on 11/14/2024. Throughout this transaction I have requested several updates and there was never mention of any business or financial issues. On 12/4/2024, I received an email from this company stating that due to unforeseen circumstances the trip has been postponed and that the company was not able to meet its financial obligations, there was a drastic change in their financial banking relationship, etc. This appears to be a fraudulent company as there are other complaints listed on your website stating they received a similar type email regarding prior scheduled trips and no word of a refund. I am requesting a FULL refund.

    I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Black Couples Getaway (BCG) with whom I booked a trip scheduled for February 2023. Despite my acting in good faith, both in my purchase and my numerous attempts to communicate with the company, I have been met with unprofessionalism, lack of clarity, and questionable business practices.Booking and Initial Cancellation: I made a booking for a trip with BCG that was originally slated for February 2023. January 10, 2023, I was informed that the trip was canceled, with the option provided to either defer the trip to a future date or move to a trip in February ****.Lack of Communication: Over the past year, I have made several attempts to get clear information on the trip details for February ****, to no avail. Despite reaching out via multiple emails and ********* I have received no response or clarification.Unfair Practices: I recently learned, through indirect channels, that communication concerning the trip's details was sent out in October to other participants, indicating selectivity in correspondence. Moreover, upon discovering that the trip's dates conflict with my business commitments, I again expressed my desire for a full refund, a plea that has been continuously ignored.Price Discrepancy: The information I eventually received about the February **** trip revealed a startling detail. The current price for the trip is now $250 less than what I had originally paid. This raises questions on the company's pricing policies and equity in treatment of its customers.Refund Amount: I am owed a total of $1858.50, and despite multiple emails and requests, Ive received no response. It is also worth noting that I am not alone in this situation; many other patrons have voiced similar concerns and grievances.I am requesting the BBB's intervention in ensuring that BCG:Issues a Full Refund: I am seeking an immediate refund of $1828.50, which is rightfully owed to me.Thank you for your attention to this matter

    In August of last year my wife and I signed up and payed to attend a trip to **** ****** with the Black Couple getaway travel group. Throughout the year several emails about the trip wound go unanswered and the emails I did receive never stated that there was an issue with the trip. In June of this year I received an email that information would be coming out on theme parties and excursions for the **** trip scheduled for August of this year. On July 13 I received a phone call from the companys president *********************** saying the trip is canceled due to lack of participation. When I asked for a refund so I could book another trip elsewhere due to the weekend of the **** trip being my birthday weekend I can book somewhere else. He stated give me a couple weeks and something will be coming out. On the 15th i was informed by another couple who was traveling with us to **** that they received a detailed email as to why the trip was cancelled. Apparently according to the email that I never received from the company the **** trip has been in trouble since March of this year and refunds would not be issued because of the vendors that had to be paid. For 11 months this company misled people that the **** trip was in good standing and showed on their website that the trip was fully booked all along it wasnt. I tried to call ************** from the number he called me from but it was no longer working. I understand the cost of business and having terms but sometimes you have to make things right with people. Use your business insurance and and refund people their money
