    We have a leak on our roof and we contacted our roofing company because we have a 5 year warranty. They said that it was storm damage so it was not covered in the warranty. We contacted a third party company to verify the condition of the roof and the third party company told ** it was not storm damage and that our roofer was lying to **. They informed ** that we should file a report with the BBB to get help in this situation because our roofer is not being honest and does not want to do the job of fixing their work as per the warranty.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    In the document the warranty is stated as "All work is guarantee for five years from date of completion if any rework needs to be done in the five-year guarantee time will be done at no charge to owner after five years the lowest maintenance fee will be charged to him after that"

    It has yet to be 5 years and we had a third party help us take a look that directed us to resolve the issue through the BBB, who said that it should be covered by the warranty.

    They specifically mentioned, in fact, that it was not storm damage and that's why resolving this issue through the BBB would be the best course of action. To uphold the warranty in writing, it would have to be over 5 years from the date that the job was done for our property to not be covered, it has not been 5 years yet so the repair should have been done when we first requested. We have read through the businesses response and came up with the same conclusion still that the business did not address the 5 year warranty in writing that would cover this issue.
