I will never purchase another Viking appliance again. Despite the insanely high price-tag, they do not stand behind their products and are uncaring about potential safety issues. I'm writing about my 5 Series Model RVRF3361SS2 fridge with bottom freezer. After only six years the freezer handle disengaged and threw me back against my center island bruising my back. Thank goodness this didn't result in an injury that required medical attention but it certainly hurt! Unfortunately I didn't document the bruise on my back appropriately because the risk assessment department rejected my request for a repair saying the fridge only had a one year warranty and I had no proof I was injured. This is a safety issue. The least they could do was cover the repair. They refused so now I feel compelled to warn consumers that Viking products and not only over-priced, they are unsafe.

3 year old Viking Refrigerator bursts into flame's I purchased a Viking refrigerator in September 2020, and I regret to say that it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Recently, the ice maker in my Viking refrigerator burst into flames, creating a hazardous situation in my kitchen. What's even more disappointing is Viking's response to this life-threatening issue.Firstly, the incident occurred just one year after the warranty expired, making me question the quality and safety of Viking's products. A refrigerator bursting into flames is not a minor malfunction, and it is outrageous that such a serious safety concern was not addressed within the standard warranty period. The real shock came when I reached out to Viking for assistance. Despite the obvious safety risk and the fact that this is a clear manufacturing defect, Viking refuses to take responsibility for the repair or initiate a recall. This lack of accountability is not only disappointing but downright dangerous. To add insult to injury, the cost of repairing the ice maker was a staggering $400.00. For a product that is barely a year out of warranty and poses a serious safety threat, I expected better customer support. ********************** contacted me through this platform stating that a customer service person would reach out to me, after spending hours up-loading their requested documents Viking email me and said "OUT OF WARRENTY", Viking's refusal to cover the repair cost is a clear indication of their disregard for customer safety and satisfaction.I strongly advise against purchasing any Viking appliances, especially their refrigerators, as they seem to prioritize profits over the safety and well-being of their customers. The lack of a recall for a product that has burst into flames is unacceptable, and I am appalled by Viking's negligence in handling this critical issue. Save yourself the trouble and potential danger look elsewhere for reliable and safe appliances.

Weve owned a Viking 4 burner range for 16 years. We use LP gas to fuel it. It worked fine for about 14 years and then began to leak gas. I called Viking for assistance and, because it is out of warranty, they refused to provide ANY advice or support. I then learned that NONE of our local appliance dealers carry or service Viking products anymore. I then hired a local independent appliance repair guy come out to diagnose and repair it. He charged $250 and could not find the leak. I had our local gas company send a technician out to find the location of the leak - it appeared to be the ranges regulator and one of the top burner valves. I replaced both and it still leaked gas. We gave up and are replacing the range with a better brand. We will NEVER buy Viking again.

I purchased a Viking 7 ********** range. The broiler had to be replaced 2 times because the broiler would not light correctly and then fill the range full gas. Then after being replaced the second time it lights but the oven goes into a over temp lock out and removes all power to the oven. After the lock out all the top burners do not work correct. The flame can be set to high and it keeps sending spark to light. i have had 2 different service companies 5 tech, 7 service calls. They have replaced 1 control board, 2 broilers, 2 temp probes, 2 high limits, 6 burner covers and the only thing that has been fixed is that the broiler will light. i have not had a working oven since the day I had the unit installed. Don't buy Viking gas equipment it is not worth the money or trouble you are going to have to go through.
