We hired **** ********** team of T&R Concrete /Calhoun GA to replace a large concrete patio, but it turned into a costly nightmare. What was supposed to be a 3-day job took over 30 days, leaving us with rubble and unfinished work just before a major family event. We ended up paying over $15,000—far beyond the original $11,040 estimate—for services that were either incomplete or never delivered, including concrete pumping, grading, and stamping. During demolition, they damaged three structural posts supporting our deck. They rented a Bobcat too large to fit between the posts, a basic measurement error, and although they eventually fixed it using our materials. **** couldn’t provide a breakdown of labor costs and went silent when I said I would share a log that I kept showing the crew's limited attendance. Many expenses, like equipment rental, stamps, prepaid concrete and concrete truck rental, were charged but never fulfilled, and an unpaid vendor even placed a lien on our home. We paid for dumpsters directly but were supposed to be reimbursed as they were part of the original contract. They either didn’t have the credit or the money to pay and the Dumpster Companies would not leave them at the jobsite without payment. T&R said they would reimburse us the $1586. We can add that to the thousands we should have been returned for them not completing the job, no concrete was paid for by T&R, yet we got charged, no concrete pump truck, yet we got charged! Despite claiming a “5th generation family business,” company is registered under his wife's name in December 2023. **** repeatedly missed workdays, diverted funds to other projects, and requested unscheduled payments, which we made out of trust but came to regret. If the August reviews had been available earlier, we would never have hired him. Future customers should beware.

If I could give this company a zero, I would. They are liars and thieves. They contacted me from angis list to put a bid in to pour a concrete pad. They came and said they would charge $4000 to prepare the area with gravel, pour the concrete and give it a smooth finish. They said they required 1/3 up front so I paid them $1,333. They told us they would come do it on tues the next week. When tues came, they said they had lost a day on another job due to rain so it would be wed. On thurs, they came out for about an hr and laid a couple of boards. We wound up having to buy the rocks ourselves, which they said was included. I called and told them we were needing it finished before sunday because we were doing pictures in our daughters memory garden on Easter, which was right behind the area. He told me it would be done on friday. I called them on friday around 3 pm because they had not showed up. He then claimed the concrete company cancelled on them so they couldn't come back until monday. I told them that would not work for us and asked them to just refund the payment we had made. They agreed to do so but when I called them to see if they were going to mail it or bring it by, they then claimed they had already paid the concrete company and would have to wait until they refunded it. I contacted all the local companies and they informed me that tgey collect payment on delivery, which means tgey lied again. We have now contacted a new company and they came out and had everything done in 1 day. They did not charge us a dime until the work was complete. Do not use this company, they will take your momey and not do the job when they tell you!
