I’m extremely disappointed with Royal EV and their lack of accountability. I purchased a Royal EV cart in 2023 from EV Republic, a certified Royal EV dealer. Fast forward to August 2024, my cart—just over a year old with only 100 miles on it—completely stopped working. It’s been well taken care of and stored inside a garage.
After taking it back to EV Republic for diagnosis, they found that the issue was related to the wiring. Despite this being a warranty-covered issue, Royal EV refuses to send the required parts to EV Republic, who should be able to make the repair based on their agreement with Royal. Instead, Royal's only option is to have me transport the cart to another Royal dealer in Louisiana. This will cost $3,000 just for the transport!
EV Republic offered to split the cost, but Royal EV refused to agree. ***, the owner of Royal EV, seems unwilling to take any responsibility or care about making things right for their customers.
It feels incredibly unfair that after paying over $15,000 for a cart, I’m left to pay out of pocket for a repair that should be covered under warranty.
I received my cart back on November 13, 2024 however, on November 22, 2024, it stopped working again, displaying the same issue as before. It did not respond to the pedal and could not move in reverse or forward. ******* EV Republic came to inspect it and confirmed that the same issue persists—the one originally identified when the cart was sent to ***** ******* in September.
Now Royal EV only resolution to the issue is for me to send back the cart and pay for the transport, which is unacceptable.
As you can imagine, this has been a very frustrating experience. Not only is the cart just over a year old with only 100 miles on it, but I also had to pay $1,500 for transportation to send it from Houston to Georgia under warranty.
