I wanted a really impressive anniversary gift for some friends who live out of state. I had never shopped with Dixie Pottery before, but I settled on a beautiful bowl with pumpkins on it, Having waited a bit too long to order, I was afraid it might not reach me in time to get it shipped on to them. I left that message with my order, and the bowl was shipped out to me the very next morning!! I am always concerned about anything breakable being shipped, but I kept my fingers crossed. Once it arrived, it took several minutes to get to the bowl because of the layers and layers of protective packing materials. It was wrapped with extra pieces of material stabilizing the sides and finally was in sturdy box marked FRAGILE. I must say those people ought to give packing lessons! The bowl is gorgeous--great quality--it will go to a good home. And now I really want one for myself. So often I think people only complain when they are not happy with goods/services, but I believe the places that go above and beyond should get recognition for their efforts.
