In July 2023, I decided to finish the basement of a rental property and met with ***** ****** of Aquadry Foundation Solutions to inspect the basement and give me a quote for the work. I chose Aquadry because he told me that they would not only treat the outside of the house but also install their "unique integrated drainage system" on the inside, insuring no seepage for the life of the structure. I was charged a total of $20,612.00, which was paid in full upon completion of the work on 7/15/2023. I was also charged an additional $350.00 to relocate the fan that was installed in the wrong location. Thinking the waterproofing was complete, I started finishing the basement. Unfortunately, this system turned out to be ineffective and water seeps into the basement every time it rains. I have called and texted Mr. ****** more than a dozen times between September 2023 and November 2024 due to the basement flooding. He sent a crew of 2 people out apprx 3 times since the initial installation but the problem still persists. I have not received a response from Mr ****** in two months now. He was always slow in responding but now has stopped responding at all. I have tried everything in my power to resolve the problem at great expense, but am now at the end of my rope and cannot get so much as a return call from Mr. ******* let alone any type of assistance from Aquadry in resolving the issue I paid so much for. I have had to pay thousands of dollars, on top of what I paid Aquadry, to repair damaged flooring and drywall due to the complete failure of Aquadry's "unique integrated drainage system" and other attempts to stop water from entering the basement. Aquadry's system never worked as promised and now they and Mr. ****** is totally ignoring my calls and texts.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 3/23/2024 Amount paid: $6369.47 I hired AquaDry Foundation Solutions to encapsulate my basement and install a support post in my house. I had issues with the company from the start. They completed the encapsulation but did not initially install the support. A few months later (August 2023) when going into the crawlspace to change my air filter I discovered that wrapping was starting to come off the walls and there was water pooling and animal f**** all over the crawlspace. I have called and text ***** so many times over the past year and a half and at first he would respond saying he was taking care of it but never did and recently stopped responding altogether. The condition of my crawlspace is a hazard to the integrity of my house's foundation as well as my health and I just want to get the encapsulation to be repaired. If his company is not willing to repair it I want a refund so I can hire another company to make the repairs. I have attached screenshots of text messages and photos of the issues with his company's work.Initial Complaint

In February, 2020 I noticed water comingdown the wall soaking the carpet in the basement bedroom.I called Aquadry Waterproofing theycame out looked at the problemtold me i needed to dig a trench all around the basementfloor put in a drain system and a pump in the corner of the room assuming hewas the expert i went off of his recommendation he said it would be $7,440 .I had to make a dwnpyment of $1,860, the wrkmen came out tore down my shelving that my deceased husband made dug a trench tearing up foundation concrete and left a mess. The hole in the wall where the water wascoming thru was never addressed. Thinking that everything would be okay and I would have no more problems, I completed the payment of$5,580 toAquadry several months later inoticed water running down the wall againsoaking the carpet. i called aqudry to report it theywere very slow to respond but finally sent a workmen out. they dug a hole out side the foundation wall and did something i do not know what and said i would have no more problems. several months later same thing happens reported it to the company they finally sent someone else out they said they put foam outside and i would have no more problems. Several months went by i noticed the same thing water running down the wall through the same hole theyclaimed to have fixed. reported it they sent someone else out & said i would have no more problems. ******************** had an above grade leak. This is not covered under our warranty. As a courtesy, we did the repair for her. In between her original installation and ** doing this repair, she moved a homeless person into her basement. He was sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Supposedly the leak caused his mattress to get wet. They started hounding us to replace the mattress. We agreed to get him a mattress. All of a sudden, this mattress became a fancy gel mattress, and "Oh by the way, my mattress was down there too, stated ********************", it was a custom made mattress. ******************** then said she would go pick one out for herself and send us the bill. The "said tenant" has requested cash in lieu of a mattress replacement.
Our contract stipulates that we are not responsible for contents. They tried to scam us out of two high end mattresses. Our two points of contention are these:
1. How did the homeless guy get a high end gel mattress? (we saw a picture of the mattress on the floor, it was old and ratty).
2. If her mattress was a custom high end mattress, why was it on the floor in the basement?
By the way, when we went to repair the leak, for her, there was only one mattress on the floor in that room. This complaint has zero validity!

I am rejecting this response because:Firstly the tenant in the basement is a disabled veteran with back issues. a veteran who once was fighting for your freedom may I add.
Whenqua dry came out to fix the problem if it wasn't covered they shouldn't have claimed to have fixed the issue not tried to.
Aquadry claimed to have fixed the leak in the basement. We had a box spring , gel mattress, and custom mattress that were downstairs.we put our belongings back and woke up with the bed soaked all the way through both mattress and box spring.
Obviously after it got wet we removed it from the room into the other part of the basement where it remains till this day.
When your repair guy came out he saw no mattress but a make shift bench's put together with a cushion on top because that's all the veteran had in the mean time.
Its very unfortunate a business like yourself disgraces veterans and the elderly taking advantage of them and trying to find every way out of not paying for your actions.
To answer your question the veteran is retired and gets VA for life he has benefits you would never, have more respect how else would have have gotten a high end gel mattress.
We are not broke by any means we are financially doing amazing, though we refuse to pay for something that wasn't caused by us. We put trust you you (aqua guard) and lied now are items sit day by day more than likely growing mold spores until you (aqua guard choose to do what's right and pay for the damages.
Take note aquadry completely avoided the part that they took advantage of am elderly woman charging ******************* thousands of dollars for unnecessary work and now damaged items due to aquadrys fault solely.
In order box spring , gel mattress, custom mattress .
As the photos show the mattress was not on the ground we had the box spring on the ground followed by the gel mattress Owned by the veteran, followed by the custom mattress owned by ******************* on top.
Your information is very inaccurate aquadry.
Point blank simple if your a company and you touch anything/work in anything your liable for anything that could happen after if job wasn't done right.
Due to aquadry job not being done correctly our belongings are damaged.
Once again elderly woman and veteran with back issues can't just grab any replacement mattresses. I request that bbb please resolve this as we are extremely dissatisfied if anything we were scammed and taken advantage of. Aquadry should lose accreditation for what they have done how sickening.
1 "Homeless" tenant as aquadry stated is a ************* Veteran Retired and has money /benefits you would never.
2.It wasn't on the floor it was at the top of the set we had together
By the time your repair man arrived we had already removed the mattresses and box spring .
Pretty sure anyone would agree if you touched or did any work and something was damaged thereon after the company should compensate for the damages that were of no fault of the owners or residents/tenants of the **************************.
Aquadry gave us there word and now because they did a **** poor job we ******************* and the Veteran/tenant are suffering. Is this company doing so poorly they can't compensate for simple mattresses and box springs come on get real THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF CLOWNS AT BEST.
BBB WE REQUEST FULL ASSISTANCE IN RESOLVING THIS MATTER!
aquadry will not get away with what they have done. So sad!
Sincerely,
*******************************
