I scheduled a move with pink zebra on ******** with Richard in Columbus, Ga after a in apartment review, quote, and deposit. The original quote with location of Columbus, Ga to ****** ******** ** ******** **** has disappeared from my email chain ( first hint of fraud) Deposit was $200.00 on my credit card and I will report that as fraud to my credit card company. I finally settle on address for the move and send an email to that effect on ********. Of which the office personnel cannot locate on ******** when I call to confirm with Lashondra/ Raslanda whatever her name was. However she was able to confirm the date of move for ********. She informed me that dispatch would call me that morning so look for a call between 8-10 am ( James did call at 0914 that am. James and his crew (Logan,Jacob) arrive in a * **** truck ( great advertising!), I believe they immediately realized the truck was NOT big enough. They tried their best however it became obvious around 2 pm that all of my belongings would not fit. ( I was not privy to any communication between the crew and dispatch during the day). We all proceed to ******* leaving an entire room packed but not loaded. Richard had told me on ******** that he had proudly been involved in logistics in the military and he would personally be at my apartment for the move, quite the liar and charlatan. The evening of ********, with my brother( age **) and ** year old daughter assisting the truck was unloaded with the assurance that they would return with another truck tomorrow. James he was thinking they would be back to ******* by 1pm the next day. 1 pm comes and goes, 3 pm l call the Columbus company to ascertain estimated arrival time at which time the charlatan Richard informs me that my move was completed the night before. I had received a “ great deal” 15 hrs at 255 for 7,000 lb ( truck never weighed). I can arrange for an additional move for my remaining items.

the contracts are completed. The consumer wanted more than what was contracted for and what the state allows us to do. The estimates are based on the poundage consumer states. Sometimes upon arrival we find the poundage is more and the additional weight has to be paid for in order for service to be rendered. The state regulates what we do there is state tariff we have to abide by and cannot move weight above what is contracted and agreed. She was billed at a flat rate even though she had an additional 3000 lbs with two additional stops. The items left behind were because we are not obligated to take items not listed or allowed for. I cannot be held liable for 10000 lbs of weight when we contracted for 6800 lbs. Even though we did take 10,000 lbs, I could legally bill her for the additional pounds involved. We took what fit in the truck, the trucks are based on what the customer tells us they have. I am more than willing to get the remainder of the items but they will need to be paid for.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Not Satisfied!!!!!!! They literally came to my home for the quote! So to have been off by weight on the day of the move is fraud on their part. I did not buy 3000 pounds of extra weight between *** *** **** and *** ** ****!!!!!  What appeared to be an adult man came to my house for the quote and looked through every room and closet. Maybe he was in fact stupid, Richard I believe was his name, and the company should fire him. I am not sure how a company can exists that takes such blatant advantage of the disabled elderly. The move was from Apartment #1  to Apartment # 2, I don’t know where else the movers stopped but I guess it was part of their fraud.

    Sincerely,

I scheduled an appointment for an in-person estimate on July 8th at 4 PM, which was confirmed via email on July 6th. I took off work early to ensure I would be available. Unfortunately, by 5 PM, no one had arrived. I called and spoke with Richard directly, and while apologetic, we had to conduct the consultation and quote over the phone. Despite this inconvenience, I decided to proceed with the company based on his assurances of a 5-star experience. I approved the estimate and received confirmation via email for my move scheduled on July 15th, but no established time of arrival. The lack of communication and the delays on the day of the move added significantly to my stress. Detailed timeline of events from July 15th: • 0902: I had a missed call from Richard • 0933: I attempted to call him back. No answer. • 0940: I called the main number. • 0942: I received a call back from Rashanda and was told all trucks had deployed and I should expect the truck within the next 30 minutes. • 1142: I texted Rashanda’s number but received no reply. • 1315: I called Rashanda again and she said she thought I was supposed to be the first stop and that she would call and see what happened and would call me back. • 1515: I again called and got voicemail. • 1516: I called Richard and again, you were apologetic and said there had been delays due to rain but assured me that the movers would arrive and four men would be sent to get the job done by 1800. • 1648: I received a call from one of the men stating they were “on the way”. • 1743: I received a call from one of the men stating the GPS had taken them to the wrong location. • 1820: Movers finally arrived. • 2130: Move completed as far as items being placed inside. I told them I would handle putting things together due to the late hour. Given these issues, I do not believe the full charge should have been assessed. A refund for a percentage of what was paid is requested.
