Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to address a matter regarding my tenancy at "The Suite Life" with Ms. Roberta C*****. My name is ******* *****, and I am a Licensed Esthetician who rented a suite from January 10th to March 14th. Upon entering into the agreement, I provided a $200 deposit and subsequently commenced weekly payments of $150 starting from January 15th. Recently, I notified Ms. C***** of my intention to conclude my tenancy on March 15th and requested a refund of my deposit. To my surprise, I was informed that in order to receive the deposit back, one must have occupied the suite for a full year. This revelation came as a shock to me as I was not presented with nor did I sign any contractual agreement outlining such terms. My understanding was that the refund of the deposit would be contingent on the suite being maintained in good condition and all amenities remaining intact, both of which have been upheld diligently. Notably, my efforts included meticulously painting the walls and addressing any imperfections such as holes, thereby contributing to the overall maintenance and aesthetic appeal of the property. As a dedicated and faithful client of Ms. Roberta C*****, I have consistently upheld my commitments by ensuring timely rental payments and maintaining the leased premises in impeccable condition, devoid of any damages or missing items. Ms. C***** cited a purported verbal agreement that had not been communicated to me and notably lacks a written record. Considering the absence of a documented understanding regarding the deposit retention policy, I am compelled to appeal for equity and transparency in this matter. I kindly request your assistance in clarifying this matter and facilitating the return of my $200 deposit in accordance with the details shared. Your prompt attention to this concern would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and understanding. Warm regards, ******* *****

I don’t consent to this complaint, and I object to the consumer complaint.
Verbal agreements are legally binding, that will up hold in the court of law.
Upon the contract agreement/ verbal agreement you must lease the suite for 6 months or 1 year.
The consumer only leased the suite for 1.5 months, as she also stated in above paragraph.
Breaking the contract agreement the $200 deposit has been forfeited. There will be no refund for the deposit or for the disputed amount.

Verbal contracts can sometimes be considered inconsistent because they lack the concrete evidence and detail that written contracts provide. Verbal agreements are based on the recollection and interpretation of the parties involved, which can lead to misunderstandings or discrepancies in the terms of the contract. Additionally, verbal contracts are often harder to enforce legally because there may be disagreements over what was actually agreed upon. Without a written record, it can be challenging to prove the terms of the agreement or the intent of each party involved.
