On 6/28/23, I electronically agreed to **** **** *********** *** ***** ********* ******* (Which I think are in cahoot with this company) for $8500 to replace shower and tiles. A representative of the company came out about a week later to take measurements and looked over Shower finishing's to install. I was given a start date for a 2 day install. I never heard anything back from the company, would answer calls nor emails. I contacted the Loan Company about a month later in July of 2023. They suspended the loan until an investigation was completed. Well I got an email from the loan company (***** ********* Company) on yesterday, 11/13/2024, stating that they could not resolve the issue because they could not get in touch with the company and that now my account is back in progress and I'm liable to pay the loan because I requested the loan and it was dispersed to the company. I told them that I feel I shouldn't have to liable for services that I never received, and how do I know the money was dispersed to the company. Also told them good luck on receiving payments from me. So the customer service Rep stated that it was a no win situation, because it could affect my credit. The date of transaction was ******22. The amount of money paid was $12062.63. The business was supposed to build a sunroom. No work was ever done. I have reached out many times, but the business has not responded. The agreement number located on the commitment form was ******. This business had advertised their work on television; I thought that it would be good to give this business a try. David B******, the owner had sent an associate to came by my house to commit to the job. But due to their lack of service, I would like to have a refund of all expenses.Initial Complaint

Signed a contract on ******** ** 2023 for new windows to be installed in 14-18 weeks and paid $15,500. I contacted them in July after many attempts and was told windows should be in 3–4 weeks, I called them Aug ** and left message for them to contact me and they didn’t. I have left numerous messages, emails, text messages on August ****** September ******** and emailed the owner Jason B****** **************** on September ** and still no response. The deadline for install has passed and if I can’t get a quick response, I want my $15.500 refunded immediately. I don’t know if they went out of business or scammed meInitial Complaint

WARNING TO PEOPLE: Window Depot of Columbus is actually some company called J. L. & B On **** **, 2023, we had a gentleman from what we thought was Window Depot of Columbus, come to our newly purchased home and quote us on the replacement of 2 windows. We were told that one would be a normal window for the area and the second could be a bit more because it was smaller and probably not in stock. I pointed out, at that time, that it was a builder grade window that had been installed in the last 10 years. My feeling was he was going to try to charge for a custom size but I knew it wasn’t custom at all. He said the measurements, to be taken in the next couple days by someone else, would resolve the issue of custom vs stock sizes. At this time, he required a deposit check for $800.00, made out to J.L.&B. I asked what J. L. & B. was at the time I wrote the check. He stated something about replacement windows being only one portion of the business. He said they do all kinds of home renovations, etc. Some man came out a few days later, spent 5-7 minutes measuring the one window, stating the second one was a common window here in Columbus , blurted what he predicted the measurements would be, checked his prediction and was correct. I asked HIM for an install timeframe. He stated he couldn’t give me that. We were given a 6-8 week timeframe at the time I wrote the check, which cleared the next day, I might add. Since then, we have heard NOTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! I’ve called, several times, get an answering machine, left a message, and in response, get an automated e-mail, thanking me for calling. It’s been 10 weeks and we want a refund immediately. This is a HORRENDOUS “company” that takes money and forgets they owe you windows in return. Steer a wide berth around this shoddy excuse for a business.Initial Complaint

I contracted this company on *** **2022 to build a sunroom on my patio. I electronically signed an Installment Loan Agreement, (RETAIL INSTALLMENT CREDIT AGREEMENT/NON-NEGOTIABLE CONSUMER LOAN). The lender was ******** ********* ***** ********************** via third-party merchant JL&B,LLC. I have called this company, Window Depot of Chattahoochee Valley numerous times to get updates as to when they would be building my sun room and only received a call-back once. I would get an email after each call starting in June 2022 and was able to talk to a receptionist up until May of this year. Since May I just get emails indicating that I called. As of ****/2023, I don't even get an email response. These people haven't called me back and I'm not sure they are even in business. They have changed their name from Window Depot of Columbus to Window Depot of Chattahoochee and the answering service merchant name is JL&B, LLC. I just contacted ******** ******* Corporation, the company that acquired ******** ********* Bank accounts and was informed that they did not take any third-party accounts from this bank. I don't know if this loan is still valid or what my obligations are at this point! It is my wish to cancel all transactions with this company. The business contracted with me to replace my windows and doors in the amount of $29559. I got a loan which they already took the withdrawal of the whole amount. The company was suppose to only withdrawal money as needed for my home improvement but they took out the whole amount. In December 2022, I signed a contract with Window Depot ******* ** ********* ** ***************************** for $28,000 worth of windows for my house in ******* *** I have been making payments since January 2023 to a loan from where I financed the project. Phone calls to the window company in Columbus for updates beginning in April 2023 resulted in the same response, which was that the windows were in process and delivery could be the next shipment. However, approximately a month ago, in early July 2023, Window Depot in Coumbus stopped answering their phone - only voicemail - and has not returned calls or responded to emails or text messages. There has been no communication in over a month. We would like a refund of our $28,000.Initial Complaint

This has been by far the worst company (JL&B) I’ve ever done business with. Customer service is slim to none. They refuse to communicate with their customers and when they do communicate it’s through a texts app. See attached text message. The project that I’m having done is very simple, the work begin in March 2023 and this project is not completed yet. See attached pictures. This company has already been paid for this project up front $22,000. They started by building a Patio, and in installed double French Patio door in the back of house in March which is still incomplete. They installed faucets and drains for all my bathroom in the house, which is not complete, my guest room sink is not even connected so we can’t even use the sink. They were supposed to install new shower heads and drains in every bathroom, not one has been done. We were told that they were hard to find, then next they said they have been ordered, but they’re on back order. Just last month they sent someone out to get a material list for everything that is still needed, so I’m left to assume that they didn’t order the shower heads and drains. When I do get some one on the phone no one can answer questions, except for the Boss/Supervisor named Bob and he is never available and they WILL NOT give you, his number. **** ** ** ******* *** * ****** *** ********** ***** *** ***** ********* **** ** ******* ***** Bob did call and apologized and we came to an agreement, so my husband sent an email to BBB to withdraw his complaint. I feel that we have given them more than enough time and every opportunity to make things right. To our dismay it hasn’t worked. Sadly, that was the only time we got to speak with Bob. I signed a contract to have my windows replaced and a sunroom installed under a promotional program with JL&B Window Depot. The contract was signed and a loan application was approved on ******* **** 2023. The agreement specified an estimated timeline of completion of 4 months for the windows and 6 months for the sunroom at the latest. Over the last 6 months we have tried repeatedly to get updates from the business on the status of the project with vague or no responses. In July I contacted the lender of the loan and asked for them to intervene and get us released from the loan. They said the money had been paid in full to the business and they would have to refund it. They said they would ask the business to contact me. I got a vague email on **** ** from the owner of the business, Jason B*****, apologizing for the delay and assuring me that the work would be done. I wrote back asking for specifics on timeline and next steps. Today I got an email from Mr B***** stating that he is ****** *** ********** and that I should contact the lender to be "made whole" for the contracted amount I borrowed. The loan agreement I signed is with ************ Bank for $46,866 with deferred for payments for 2 years and no finance charge is paid in full at the end of the 2 years **** ** 2025). I want JL&B to refund the money to the lender, so I am not responsible to pay for work that was never done. Despite this notice ** *********** JL &B continues to advertise their services on the internet and should be stopped. Can you help me get released from the loan?Initial Complaint

Window install job in February 2023; they were short 1 window, said they re-ordered it that day, continued to followup with business for the last 6 months. Excuse has always been supply chain issue, we're six months from original install, think supply chain has been fixed. Within the last 4 weeks they claim the window has been shipped, and will contact when it arrives. Have tried to call them, email them and text them, no response. At close to $1,000 per window (which as been paid to them in full) either they finish the job they started or give me a refund of this last window plus cost to now go find another set of windows to complete our remodel.
