Dec. 13, 2024 my water was shut off. With immediate attention given; past due balance less than $150 was paid. Advising representative last statement received Nov. 2024; which a part payment was submitted Dec. 2nd 2024. Moving forward, representative stated that my water service was shut off Nov, 20th 2024. In complete surprise! Advised representative, her & tech reports are incorrect. My water was NEVER Disconnected until Dec. 13th 2024. Which I then called Columbus Water Works immediately & paid my balance in FULL. Ms. E**** representative of CWW continue to share; due to having water access without authorization, an additional fee would be added “Tamper Fee” of $150 for use of unauthorized water use, an addition cost of $56 for 3 units of water used from Nov, 20th 2024 to Dec. 13th 2024, and a reconnection fee. Costing $215+ to turn water on. To be falsely accused of tampering & be penalized for something which is completely False & Fabricated. Is unjust! My house has surveillance cameras all around monitoring. Proof of recordings show no technician visit on Nov. 20th 2024. Only visit Dec. 13th 2024. Also, NO tampering was Ever done. I have NO Such equipment to turn on city water or care to know anyone who does. After, lengthy discussions, time invested, conversations were becoming scripted. This ordeal has cause much duress and stress. Inform the representative, I’ll pay for water use that was NEVER turned off & pay past due but I will NOT be accuse of tampering AND/OR pay a tamper fee that is not so. Charges & fees are purposely applied to consumer accounts. Forcing consumers to pay for erroneous charges, in order to have access to one of the important resources for survival. I have Spent Christmas with NO water. Entered the New Year with NO water. I’ve exhausted all attempts to work towards a positive solution. Hopeful for a solution to this. No further word from Columbus Water Works. Force to add a star to rating to post. ZERO is the honest rating.

I spoke with **. ***** on January 15, 2025, regarding her questions and concerns. It appears that she received some misinformation, and I will ensure that my team receives additional training to prevent this in the future. She expressed satisfaction with the outcome of our conversation and obtained all the information she needed going forward. If **. ***** has any further concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me again. Thank you.

I received a notification that my account is overdue and my service will be disconnected, however I have automated draft from my bank. I have been on hold for One Hour and 44 minutes waiting to resolve this matter. Totally unacceptable business practice!!

CWW should let their customers know when their service will be interrupted and for how long. Instead they dont say a word but expect the consumer to go out and ask if they work for the city or water co.
Some people like to shower before they go to work, or maybe have some coffee. The customer service people are as rude as ever and they really dont care.
Some things never change, the water company is ran unprofessionally as always, you can always count on that. What makes it worse if you dont know and something happens to your pipes they will blame you in the end. Whats even more funny is the workers sound exactly like customer service.. nobody knows whats going on. **** on my foot and tell me it is raining.
The water company is owned by the city of columbus....see how your city is run, not very well.

    Good evening **. ********,

I apologize for the frustration our customer service call line has caused you. We have had a large influx of calls coming in due to an error with our third party vendor who prints and mails ours bills. Over 20,000 customers did not receive their July bill last month due to this error and now everyone is calling in to get their balance, due date, etc.

Not making any excuses because this is totally our fault, but sometimes if our call que gets overloaded it starts to drop calls. That maybe why you were disconnected on the phone line. In an effort to combat the calls dropping the system is suppose to route the call to our answering service that takes a message and we will return your call within 24-48 hours.

I will gladly email you a copy of your bill if you like. If you have any issues this is my direct contact information and you can call or email me at anytime and I'd be glad to discuss your account with you.

Once again, please accept my sincerest apology as we weather this storm.

    Kindest regards,
    LaToya M****
