Georgia career institute is a school where cleanliness is not of the upmost, teachers are rude and disrespectful and they hold student back from graduation. Their holding students back to have them pay more financial aid. Multiple students are stuck after their graduation date due to teachers not doing what theyre supposed and being academically irresponsible. Teachers do not be in the classrooms. There are constant changes in scheduling and rules and regulations or the school (such as how and when credits are earned).

One would think that a simple matter like answering the phone and returning phone messages to clients would NOT require intervention from the Better Business Bureau. However, due to what appears to be a pervasive and recurring issue with both staff and students at this institution, I find it necessary for the BBB to intervene and help rectify the issues at this place. For weeks now, I have been attempting to schedule an appointment with Georgia Career Institute to no avail. Despite calling multiple times and leaving several messages, no one has returned my calls. Specifically, on January 8, 2025, I contacted the institute, which is a hair school, but still a business, nonetheless. On this day, I was actually able to briefly speak with someone, but was immediately asked if they could call me back because they were the only person at the front and they had a line of people. I asked where the teacher was, and they said they didn't know, but they promised to call me back once the line got down. I never received that call.I cannot understand why the school finds it so difficult to staff someone at the front desk to take calls and address inquiries. It is profoundly unprofessional for a business-especially one in the haircare industry where trust and credibility are paramount to lack personnel dedicated to handling customer communications. Returning calls and managing customer inquiries should be fundamental aspects of their operations! To date, calls still go to voicemail and I have not received a returned phone call. I am disappointed by my experience here and urge them to take immediate and serious steps to rectify their business practices. This includes restructuring their operations to ensure that customer inquiries are prioritized and addressed in a timely and professional manner. Simply answering the phone for an appointment should NOT be an issue! Thanks for your help with this!Regards,******* *********
