Dr. ********************* and her practice committed to me as a patient who accepted approved my insurance greater than two to three years ago. Shortly after seeing her she told me that I will need cataract surgery. I returned January 2023 to see ************************** and she gave me a cataract referral. I scheduled an appointment with Omni Eye cataract center and completed bilateral cataract surgery March 2023. The nature of my dispute is that now that I have had my cataract surgeries, post op visits and recovered. I am being told that Dr. ********************** optometrist is not credentialed under my insurance plan and insurance will not pay for the post-op cataract visits. I came in for an appointment on September 13, 2023 to be seen by Dr. ********************* for some vision problems and denied care. At this time I spoke to ********************** new assistant manager who told I would Dr. ********************* not be able to see the doctor today due to owing $875 (over due bill). She investigated my bill and found out that I was assigned to see a provider who is credentialed under my insurance to see post-op cataract patients. I was told that I should have gone to one of their other clinics to be seen by a provider who is credentialed under my insurance. How am I supposed to know this information? This is the office responsibility. On March 29, 2023, Dr. ********************* was not available to see me due to being out on vacation. So I was seen by ************** for my follow up visit and told everything was progressing well. At this time there was no problem mention to me about my insurance not paying. I am now receiving monthly bills telling me that I owed $875 since April. The office manager has submitted the bill twice because I was told it was submitted under my old insurance card. I have attempted to resolve this insurance claim matter with the office and cant get anyone to return my call. I am stuck with a bill and dont feel it I should have to pay
