Hello,I have had an on going issue dating back last year with *** and the vendors they have sent out to my home. Now that my unit is damage from the vendors *** has sent nobody wants to accept accountability to replace my unit. This is my last attempt to try to address the matter myself. After this I will be taking legal actions against *** and AirDesign. Ive spent all winter with no heating I have a toddler in the home the living conditions were unacceptable. Now its the summer and the heat on the top floor is rising making unbearable. I wasnt given any emergency accommodations nothing. After AirDesign left I noticed my home didnt have the same sent anymore it was an unknown smell. January 8 I noticed my home smelled like refrigerant it leaved all throughout my home thats when I noticed they cut my evaporator coil line. I called the city of ************** the city *** my unit is leaking refrigerant and told me to turn off my unit for safety purposes. Oct 11 2024 came for maintenance for my hvac unit. They cut the air handler for the downstairs furnace and *** to AHS the part was missing and nothing was missing prior to them arriving to my home. I toke a photo and sent it to the owner ******* of AirDesign he sent out 2 techs to put duck tape around it to patch it up. They *** that it was temporary. As you can see in the photo this was not the way my downstairs furnace looked prior.

I am filing this formal complaint against Air Design A/C & Heating for their negligent and improper installation of my HV** system, which was completed on May 20, 2024, under a service request approved by ******************** (AHS). Their actions have resulted in inefficiencies, risks to my HV** system, and unnecessary stress and inconvenience.Air Design was assigned to replace the ** compressor on my HV** system. They installed a unit that uses 410A refrigerant, but they improperly connected it to an incompatible evaporator coil designed for a different refrigerant type. This error was recently confirmed by another contractor dispatched by ***, Eagle ******************************** of GA, during an inspection on December 11, 2024.This improper pairing violates industry standards and has caused the system to function inefficiently, placing unnecessary strain on its components. Since Ican not accessthe crawl space where the installation was performed, I was unaware of the improper work until a third-party inspection. When I contacted *** about this issue, I was informed that the case was closed, despite the clear evidence of negligence by Air Design.I request the following actions from Air Design to resolve this matter:Acknowledgment of the improper installation performed on May 20, 2024.Immediate corrective repairs to address the improper installation, ensuring that the system complies with industry standards and operates efficiently.Assurance that such errors will not occur again in future installations. This situation has caused undue stress and inconvenience, as well as financial concerns over potential long-term damage to my HV** system. Air Designs negligence has violated the trust placed in them as a licensed contractor, and I am requesting the Better Business Bureau to hold them accountable for their actions.

My home warranty sent Air Design out to fix a problem that I had with my ac unit not cooling. The technician stated my unit needed cleaning which was the problem. My warranty doesn't pay for cleaning so I paid out of pocket. I noticed my unit still wasn't fixed. I contacted another company to come out and they pointed out that when the company cleaned my unit they applied to much pressure which caused all my coils to push in and stop the air circulation. I contacted Air Design about the problem and needed a technician to come back and fixe the problem. They wanted me to file another work order with my home warranty which I would then have to pay another service fee of $100.00 and any diagnostic fee. I told them I wasn't doing that. All needed for them to do is come correct the problem by unbending the coils. I should not have to pay an extra service fee and diagnostic fee for a mistake that Air Design made. The owner refuse to send a technician out unless I got a work order from my warranty company. Which my warranty doesn't cover is why I had to pay out of pocket for the cleaning in the first place. I just need Air Design to come correct their mistake or further action will be taken

I paid for service that was not performed when they installed my furnace last November. My flute pipe to the furnace was not installed correctly according to current Code and the float switch was never installed at all but I was charged for it. And they did not include a new air filter with the new furnace. My furnace has not had a air filter since it was installed. I contacted the Company early June to let them know about the situation. They sent someone out to my Home beginning of June but they did not complete any repairs. When they left, they turned off my condenser pump which caused water to back up in my basement. I didn't discover my basement was wet until they came back in early July t do repairs. They were not able to do the repairs in July due to water in basement. The appointment was rescheduled , however No one called, text, or left a voicemail last Friday, July 12, the day my follow up appointment that was scheduled between 1-5pm. I took time to be here at home but no one called to say anything! I asked for a Saturday appt but they said they don't the type repairs I needed on Saturdays. My appointment was rescheduled again for today 7/16/24 between 12-4pm; No one showed up until after 4:30PM.

I requested service from First ******** on my Central Air Conditioning system . The service provider Air Design came out and diagnosed the issue as a replacement coil issue They charged me $1445 for the following. We wanted to provide you with an update on your pending claim. The contractor has completed their diagnosis. We are happy to inform you that part of your claim is indeed covered by your home warranty. To complete the required work, the contractor has also identified some items that are not covered under your home warranty contract. We have validated the contractors findings and confirmed that either your warranty does not cover or you have exhausted the available limit for: MODIFICATIONS $1320.00 CLEANING OUTDOOR UNIT $125.00 80% BLOCKED First American Home Warranty will pay the contractor for all covered items. For the items that are not covered, there will be out-of-pocket expenses due from you and paid directly to the contractor in order to proceed. The contractor has informed us that your out-of-pocket expenses come to $1445.00. 3 months later after coming back home from being away the system was still not working (Central air blowing cold) . When I called First American they said their claims are only guaranteed for 30 days and I would have to call the servicer. The servicer refused to come out to look at the issue because it was through First American. I'm now needing a new HVAC and not getting any help from first American for their servicer not diagnosing the issue correctly. nor the vendor who wants to charge me again for the service they got wrong the first time.

I was having AC issues where my AC was not staying set to the temperature. So I went through my home warranty (************). They assigned AIR DESIGN A/C & HEATING from *******, ** to my house. Contractor came out initially (7/28), cleaned the outside unit upon my request, said I was good to go. A couple weeks go by and AC is having the same issue, contractor comes out again (8/8) and says I need to replace the condenser coil as it no longer works. HSA only covered the partial cost. I was left with a $1655.00 bill.Contractor comes out (8/14) and replaces condenser coil (+ everything additionally need to do so). AC works for a few hours, then is back to the same issue.Contractor comes out again (8/15) and blows out the condensate line. This is something that is very simple to do and should have been done well prior to replacing a condenser coil. This solves my cooling issue.Email contractor on 8/16 about a refund for unneeded condenser coil installation and contractor responds "It was replaced because it has a leak that was non-reapirable.". I am unaware of any leak test that was done.Replacing condenser coil seems to be an unneeded repair they often recommend based on other reviews

I am representing my elderly mother ***************************. My mother is a widow. I am the trustee of her business affairs. My mother purchased a brand new A/C Unit from ******* Heating and Air Condition in ******* **., ** #CN005699 (Tel ************) in May 2020. Since the purchase of the unit, there have been 10 service visits because the unit stop working for Air and Heat. Both components have failed numerous times. All the visits are related to various electrical failures. Each visit, my mother is charged for parts and a service fee. At this time, the unit should have been replaced because clearly there is a malfunction within the electrical system. The most recent visit was 4/26/23. Again the unit stopped working. They stated it was a burnt wire. They replaced the wire, charged my mother again and the unit stopped working the same night. Now, my 85 year old mother is AGAIN without heat. Because of all the visits ***** charged my mother for repairs that didn't resolve the problem or were a temporary band aid per se. As a result, my mother had a small balance of $219 on yesterday. The tech stated they were not going to return until the balance was paid. I think it is very malice to intentionally take advantage of an 85 year old lady by charging her bogus fees and then threaten her by stating if there is another issue they will not return to repair it. They didn't repair the immediate issue on yesterday! My mother should be offered a brand new replacement unit and a full refund for all the service visits and having to rearrange her schedule to accommodate. I tried to discuss and resolve the concern with Manager ***** on last year. But, nothing was accomplished and no follow up calls or anything. They just continued to make visits and wasting my mother's money. I have called 3 times today to speak with manager ****. He has been too busy to return my call. I am done. Before this unit ***** my mother home down, I am issuing this complaint for an immediate resolution to replace the unit and refund all the bogus fees that were charged to my mother. Again, she is sitting without heat!

Provider arrived yesterday to replace a damaged but working part in my HVAC. They had been out over a month ago to diagnose and assess, and ordered the part. This service call had been scheduled nearly 3 weeks ago. Provider arrived, disconnected damaged but working part, then discovered wrong part had been added. **************** and told us he hoped someone could be back out today to repair but office would be in touch. No contact from office. Called 2x today and reached dispatcher, who informed me that new part would be installed 3 days from now. This means we have no AC until then. I asked for the old part to be returned and reinstalled until new part was received and could be installed; was told it had been "disposed of". When I looked, both my indoor and outdoor units are left wide open and torn apart. This is absolutely unacceptable. They have broken my system and left me in a bind.

May 2022 i had called my homeowner insurance for an HVAC checkup. Air Design AC and Heating *************) was assigned. They did not come out to my house, reported to AHS that they completed the service, and today (8/11/22) I noticed my ceiling leaking. This was due to the pan overflowing, which would have been avoided if they had done their job in May. They are a fraud by telling AHS they completed the job. Now i have ceiling damage in kitchen which will need replacing. I believe the company should pay for the work that needs to be completed.
