I had an issue with my heating. I call my home warranty for repair, they came out advised the secondary transformer was missing at point of installation. Total cost to repair was $645.78. Being that this home was built in 2020 and I am the original owner I understand that things happen but for an important piece to be missing is huge. I then contacted the builder ***************** and they provided me with the installer of this unit which is Metro Heating and Cooling. I contact this company and spoke with ******, she advised me that they didn't need to replace this part. I explained that my heating is working perfectly now. I explained that a part was missing which caused the primary transformer to blow. I have a receipt and the people at *** are willing to explain that the secondary unit was missing. Since that has been replaced my unit is working fine. I am seeking a resolution by reimbursing the monies paid to *** Heating and my deductible from my home warranty.

Metro Heating and Cooling, **** did install this system in 2020 and it has worked properly until the PrimaryTransformer malfunctioned 12/5/2023. These transformers fail from time to time due to power surges or other outside causes. The company that told her a zone system requires a secondary transformer is wrong and misled the customer. These zone systems require a secondary transformer if they have three or more zone dampers. This system only has two zones dampers therefore only the Primary transformer is required.

While it is unfortunate that the customer has been misled and charged for parts they do not need, Metro Heating and Cooling, **** is not at fault so we will not reimburse the customer for these charges.
