This person contacted me by phone on a Sunday November 27th, 2022 after I made request for some work to be done on my home. It was discussed and agreed that the job would be done before Christmas. He informed me that he would come to do an estimate the next day on a Monday. He never showed up that day but came the following Tuesday. The job quoted was $750 for labor to do a wallpaper accent wall in a small area in my breakfast room, and do crown molding panel on one wall in my family room. We discussed me purchasing the material out of pocket. He quoted me material being $300 to $500 initially. I ended up giving him $500 for material (not counting the purchase of the wallpaper). He started on the job by doing a quick paint coat of the wall. He didn't return for several days and cane and did a quick paint over the wall he planned on doing the crown molding. He gets upset because I ask him for receipts, about the paint job, and if he needed the extra wood. We resolved this issue. After a few days of rescheduling he does start the work. He realizes I need a lith fixture relocated so he brings in his electrician, this is another $230 I covered. That same day I have ***** (owner/worker) another $500. He says, "this covers my full payment for the panel wall. The wallpaper wall will be $250. I'll complete that when the wallpaper ces in." After this is done, *****, sets a day he's going to complete the job, doesn't show up, doesn't communicate until asks if he's still coming, makes up every excuse in the book as to why he can't come on the day he promised to come. He is a no show several times throughout this project. I text him today asking was he going to complete this prior to Christmas as we had discussed. He calls and curses me out and tells me he doesn't want to finish the job because it's too stressful. He then says "and I'm not giving you any of your money back." I've paid almost $1300 to have an incomplete wall which will cost me hundreds more to complete.
