the quote and the final cost were way out of line. it's totally my fault for not checking their reviews first. I would not recommend this company to anyone. the are pleasant and knowledgeable but they overcharged for a simple tank drainage. I'm going to post my story on my FB,X and vlog so others can avoid this company. Again I didn't do my homework on this company. I won't make that mistake again

I used Master Rooter to drain and fix my septic tank, I was concerned when I saw the negative reviews but that has not been my experience. ***** came out, told us what the problem was and how much it would cost to repair. He did exactly what he said he would do for the price he quoted. I am very satisfied with this company and their work. I am very happy with the work he did and his integrity, You can trust *****!! If you have problems call Master Rooter and request *****! Thanks

These people ought to call themselves Master Scammers, not Master Rooter. They come and take advantage of emergency status work to rip your wallet a new one. They have you sign an empty invoice (I know I shouldn't have done that, but the septic needed to be pumped) and then they charge whatever they want after they dig the hole. While the tech was obviously knowledgeable of his duties, it took him a long time to finish since he would keep going to his truck and sitting there milking the clock. I will never use them again and will strongly suggest anyone find a different company to do septic work. Not to mention the large oil puddle he left on my driveway coming from that raggedy truck they have .

Someone needs to stop these con artist. They qoute you $150-600 at the time of booking the appointment. Then when they arrive, ( of course a few hours late) the price more than doubles. They tell you all these possible problems with your system and give you recommendations on options on how to go about fixing them. So the whole time you think they're going to do these recommendations, when in reality they're just pumping your tank. They'll lie and say your tank is "overflowing" which becomes a $200+ charge. That's total BS because the cap was a clean slab when removed. Then they'll never tell you they're charging you another $500+ for the main line to the house to get pumped! After talking to other septic companies they all informed me that the main line gets pumped automatically when doing a standard cleaning. You'll think they'll be satisfied s******* over clients but it doesn't stop there. Because they're still charging the original $500 + for a standard pump and an additional $100+ to remove the caps. Bringing the total to $1300+. I have two little ones at home. So I was trying and tackle multiple things at once. So when I signed the invoice for the $1300+ I thought all these recommendations and problems were being fixed. Nothing was fixed other than a basic pump. Once I got off the phone with processing my card. All work stopped and they were "finished". EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS SCHEME!!!!! I had to ask to see pictures of the "work" that was done and the technicians reluctant to show me. I only thought he was taking pictures to educate me on my system. I had to snap pictures of the pictures he took from my device. There's no breakdown of services on the invoice. It's all unprofessional! They're thieves at the end of the day!

******************** we understand your concern and did look into this for you as well as pulling the recorded calls. We responded to your initial online request and when you spoke to our office, we asked a few questions of what was going on and collected information on your home. We gave you a quote for pumping the tank based upon that information and as well explained that any service above pumping would be additional costs per the recorded calls as well as let you know we would look the system over and advise and you specified you wanted that as well. We also explained that we have to make sure it's working or do a one over of the system and we can't just pump and walk away without trying to address any issues that are causing problems. On your initial call you explained an issue and we advised on that call that pumping a tank does not fix problems. Our tech came out and diagnosed your system and due to age advised some courses of action. Our invoice states some of those items are declined and we recommended further diagnosis or work which would be more money. We provided services and stated the issues of the system, and that more diagnosis or work will be needed in future. Customers do not have to accept services and if you declined all services, we would have closed the system up and left at no charge. We did provide more services than pumping and as we stated on the phone any services above pumping the tank would be additional. When you called with concern after the service call, we created a ticket and had the technician reach out to you as well after the service and he contacted you back the same day to review and answer any questions you had. We reviewed the work order as well and confirmed it was signed and acknowledged in all places, explaining what services were performed which were declined and further issues that need to be looked in or addressed. We always take all calls from customers and treat them the same and if there are concerns, we would be happy to address them. We understand when purchasing a home recently that there could be things unknown and on our initial call you mentioned you didnt have any idea of the last service of the system. Septic systems have a life span and will need repairs or replacement of components such as the drainfield at some point. We always recommend having a septic inspection done not just a home inspection when purchasing a home to ensure you know the current condition and future functionality of the system.

We were contacted by the customer and they stated they had problems with their system and another company quoted them $6000 to repair the system. We quoted a price for pumping the tank and that our tech would inspect the issues to determine what's going on. He reviewed what needed to be done and the customer agreed for the repairs to the system for $5500. Upon further exploratory digging and looking at the age of the system our tech stayed at the home and did more digging through massive root systems and reviewed the entire system due to it's age. At that point we cancelled the repair work and explained to the customer that if we did this repair there would be no warranty and we were with almost absolute certainty sure the repair would not work and her system would continue to fail and she would be out all that money. We charged for the pumping of the system and extensive exploratory and digging of the system and the customer agreed and signed the invoice acknowledging all this. We pride ourselves on ensuring that if we are undertaking a large repair job that we want it to work and make sure the customer spends money on something that will last a long time. We felt we did the best we could with the situation instead of taking someone's money for work that we know would fail. We explained this to the customer multiple times and are sorry the system is too old to repair but the best use of the customer's money at this point is to invest in a new septic system.

This company is actually very good! Another company wanted to charge us about $1000 just to show up the same day and pump the "overfilled" tank. The tank wasn't overfilled, not by far. We had tree roots growing into it from a tree we had cut down - but the roots were still alive. We had the issue before (which is why we cut the tree down) but the ***** was still alive. Master Rooter ended up charging us slightly more than the total cost from the other company, but replaced our Baffle-T's on both ends (one leading to the pump tank), removed the rest of the tank lids, cleared all of the roots on, in, and around the tank, and *even* took out the ***** that still had live roots growing into the tank! Because of the proximity to the house, a landscape company had quoted us over $2,000 just to remove that *****!I'm guessing most people only call when they actually have problems, so it makes sense that they end up paying a lot more than they are originally quoted. But compared to the other company we were looking at (which we had used for over a decade), we got a lot more done and paid less for it! ***** went WAY above and beyond and I'm very happy with the work they did!

Look into the pricing offered by this company before allowing them to dig. They charge $540 to empty a **** gallon tank. Then they tack on more fees like root destroyer for $300, bacteria $300 then filter $450 they are over priced and they deceive customers.

We do understand your concerns and we did look into your concerns. The office did ask what was going on when you called in and you were having a backing up issue and it seems we were told it had been about 9 years since your last service. Systems need to be serviced more often to ensure buildup does not cause problems We did quote a specific price due to the issues occuring causing more overfill and because accumulated solid/sludge since it has been 9 years. We did also let you know that if there are other issues causing the problem you were experiencing that we can't pump and walk away leaving the system not working properly for the future. The technician did open up the tank and let you know the findings and what it would take to provide those services. Customer's at any time can turn down services and we would just cover up and leave. We try to make every effort to assist and give as much information upfront as possible but with systems being underground we won't know till we get it dug up to see what's really going on if you are having issues.
