I called North Georgia Rooter on March 2nd 2023 to unclog a kitchen drain. The lady said if they had to use the flex machine and unclogged the drain the price would be ****** plus ***** service call fee. The two technicians came out that same day and started to unclog the drain. I asked the technician if they could not unclog the drain what would the price be. The technician said I would only have to pay the ***** service call fee. After several attempts to try to unclog the drain they said they needed to go on the roof and try to unclog the drain through the vent pipe. I asked if that would be an extra cost and the technician said no. The technicians seemed upset that they has wasted their time. The technicians started telling me I would have to pay a diagnostic fee of ******. I was never told about this fee. I asked to see the invoice and was told I would receive a invoice via email after payment. I tried to get the technician to explain the diagnostic fee but they could not. I paid the technicians with a check for ******. it was ***** for dispatch fee, ***** truck supplies and ****** diagnosis fee. I called back to North Georgia Rooters office and spoke to the lady and told her I was very upset about the diagnosis fee because The technician said it would only be the service call fee if they did not fix the problem. She could not explain the diagnosis fee to my satisfaction. She told me how long the technicians where here and that they had to go on the roof. After speaking with her I realized the diagnosis fee was a made up fee to try to recover some of the time they spent at my house. I asked for the names of the technicians and she would not give me their names. I feel I was scammed out of ******. I never agreed to pay for this and was never told about this fee until they wanted me to pay. I asked two times during the technicians visit to my home if there was extra charges and was told no. I would like a refund for the ****** diagnosis fee.
