      Recently purchased 20 boxes of:
      MR316 MONTAY 05173 IMPERIAL GRAY
      SKU:7256647
The locking design for these particular inexpensive tiles is inferior and suggest any professionals avoid this product. I spoke with a SHAW install support professional and he advised that I use super glue on the seams. I have not used super glue on other manufacturers products installed in a similar fashion. I will have to take the product up attempt to return it and explain to the customer to avoid SHAW products. I was told that they sell millions of this product but I can only assume that due to the shallow profiles and thin product they should include the glue in the box.

The 20 boxes of material can be returned to Menards for a refund.

      Shaw Hardwood Floors, “Floorte”
Issue: Shaw’s Floorte warranty is useless a and the hardwood floors are so thin and soft, they are unusable for consumer use and should be pulled from the market. Floors are denting
with furniture just sitting on the floor.
In March 2022, I contacted Scott, from ****’s flooring about the warranty of this flooring as too many indentations were occurring on our floor for no reason. We had this same furniture in a 4800 square foot home that had wall to wall hardwood flooring for 17 years. When we sold that home, there were no indentations on that floor, in fact I kept so good of the floors, they looked nearly new. This home withstood, high traffic from young children and large pets in the home. We are now 2 older professional people, empty nesters, that take great pride in our home, with very little wear and tear on the home.
On September 6, an inspector came out and did a thorough inspection of our home, denoting 35 plus planks if not more that had dents and a dozen more that had chips or some sort of flaw in them. I asked the inspector, was it a flooring issue or an installation issue? He said that “there is something wrong with these floors”, this should not happen. He noted we had area rugs and sliders underneath furniture in all 3 rooms, and our house was well-maintained. However, his conclusion stated that we moved furniture around the house causing all these indentations? Hence, claimed denied. How did he devise this conclusion? It is because he could not justify what is happening to our floors, so he made it up.
We moved in and the furniture has not moved! The house is small, little wall space, only certain walls could take certain furniture, based on the size of the walls, window placement and the built in TV nook.
Obviously, the flooring inspector does not want to “bite the hand the feeds him”, he was a Shaw sell out.

We commissioned a certified independent inspection on the above complaint and no manufacturing defects were found during the inspection. Denting and scratching are excluded from our product warranties. We will reach out directly to the homeowner and discuss directly with them.

In response to your comment "we commissioned a certified inidependent inspector", that is true, but who has deeper pockets Shaw or the consumer? Who does the independent inspector represent ? Shaw! He wants more inspections from you so, who is he going to side with the consumer or Shaw? Give me a break, you do not have a valid argument to stand on.
The inspector told me himself that this line of floors should not have dents from furniture just sitting on the floorr! He noted we had sliders, the house was well cared for, area rugs were placed and the floor was cleaned with Shaw floor cleaner! What about the discoloration under the rugs where it is "suppose" to protect the floors from furniture? And no, it's not from the rugs either, since I have the same rug on tile, no discoloration and the other rugs were moved from our other house which had wall to wall hard hardwoods, no discoloration occurred on those floors.
Yet "your warranty does not cover this? The warranty is useless, the product you are selling is defective, every customer needs to know not to buy "Floorte" floors. The entire line should fall under the "lemon law", having hardwood floors in a home means you will put furniture on it, good grief! Incredibly unreasonable.
What you produced and sold as hardwood floors is simply fraudulent they are not hardwood, they are paper thin veneer with a rubber backing, bad combination for flooring it's ridculous, use some common sense and put out a product that can actually be used as floors. Your warranty is worthless! and how convenient that your lab does not test the softness of the floors. I am tempted to make my own youtube video demonstrating how ridiculously soft these floors are, using an utensil.

If you are considering putting in new carpet in your home I would advise you to stay away from #shawcarpet Shaw Floors. They do not honor their manufacture #Warranty.
This carpet is less than 4 years old. And of those 4 it was a model home for a year, so less than three years of actual "wear and tear". Furthermore, we began having issues over 2 years ago, which means the carpet started failing in just over a year from installation. And this has been an ongoing issue since that time.
The carpet started to fail at the transitions zones from carpet to wood or tile. However, shortly after moving in, the carpet began to make a crunching sound underneath our feet when we walked on it. And if you didn't know, carpet is not supposed to "crunch" when you walk on it.
So, we rose the issue with the builder and they sent the original flooring installer company out to inspect. Who said the carpet was delaminating. So, we hired an inspector that has been certified by Flooring Consultants and Inspection Training Services, Inc (https://www.fcits.org - the organization by which Shaw said the inspector had to be certified) to perform an inspection and provide a report. His report confirmed what the installer had said, that the carpet was defective and delaminating. (See pictures below)
#Shaw sends their inspector out and he claims it was an installer error, saying that there should be a metal bar or some adhesive installed in the transition zones. Mind you he didn't go to other areas of the carpet, E.g. a distant corner away from the transition zone, like the one we hired did to inspect.
The flooring installer, who we are working with currently and who has been in the business now for 20+ years as an installer, has informed us that the way that Shaw is saying the carpet should have been installed is not #standardpractice. They are hiding behind this so not to honor their #manufacturing #warranty.
So now we are left to pay for the replacement out of pocket.
