    I am an interior designer and ordered chairs and dining table from Hellman Chang for a client of mine. The chairs arrived and were delivered to my clients home on 9/8/2023. Upon delivery, we inspected them and made the firm that sells Hellman Chang products (*********************** in *******) to clients aware that the chairs did not meet our quality standards. The chairs were sent to my receiving agent (*********************************) in ********** while we figured out a strategy with the vendor to get the chairs to an acceptable solution for the client. The chairs were sent back to Hellman Chang and on 12/4/2023, Hellman Chang informed me that the issues with the chairs were due to what they believed damage by the shipping receiver here in ********** (************ Transfer). ************ Transfer ascertains that they are not at fault and my client and I felt strongly the issues we had seen were related to quality issues - uneven welt joints, leather that was too loose and not upholstered tautly enough as well as joint cracks on the wood frames. The vendor came back and expected $ 600 per chair to complete the repairs (there are 10 chairs). The repair cost was never approved by my client or myself. However, they started the repair process without approval. They are now refusing to fix the chairs without payment or willing to send the chairs back to me unfinished. I expect the chairs to be fixed with no cost to my client or my firm, Threads Interiors. Issues with the chairs are - indentations to the leather, leather on seats not being taut enough, uneven welting along base of all chairs, and joint cracks to the wood on all chairs.
