    My membership account was closed on 4-30-2024 without me being notified. I spoke with manager *************************** on 4-24-2024, and he opened up my membership/checking account with me paying $25.00 with my credit card ending in (0569). I received an email on the following day 4-25-2024 from *************** in risk management regarding her verifying if I opened up the accounts. I called her from the number that was listed in her email to speak with her. After she confirmed that I opened up the accounts we ended the phone call. I had already set up my online account and when I logged into my account on 5-16-2024 there was a message that stated my account was restricted. I called the member services department on 5-16-2024 and they told me that both of the accounts were closed on 4-30-2024. I called ****************** twice, and emailed him regarding the matter at hand. He never returned my calls nor responded to my email regarding my accounts being closed. I emailed ************* on 5-16-2024 regarding the issue, and she told me that she would be speaking with the compliance officer. I called member services again, and no one could explain to me what was going on. It has been almost 4 MONTHS, and my ($25.00) for my account opening still HAS NOT been refunded back to me via check nor refunded back to my credit card. Im requesting a check for $25.00 to be mailed to me ASAP that are due to me. As soon as the accounts were closed on 4-30-2024 a check was supposed to have been mailed to me without any delays. I have emailed executives at the corporate office and customers service numerous of times with no avail. I want my $25.00 refunded back to me asap!

    Communication was given to the consumer and the check was to have been picked up at a branch office.  However, when the consumer notified the credit union that she had not received the refund for the $25, member service refunded the $25 to the original payment method.  Consumer acknowledged receipt of the $25 credit to the original payment method, If the consumer has further questions, she is welcome to reach back out to the Credit Union.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Communication was NOT received for me to pick the check up at a branch EVER. I haven't received any type of communication regarding my refund for MONTHS FROM MEMBERS FIRST CREDIT UNION. When I posted reviews online that is when I FINALLY received a refund for the $25.00 back to my original payment method a few weeks ago.

    Membersfirst credit union has violated my right as a consumer reporting to the credit bureau without informing me. I never received notice from Membersfirst credit union in regards to this matter. Nor have I gave written consent to the credit bureaus to report this alleged debt. In addition Membersfirst credit union has written this alleged debt off and still reporting this alleged debt on my credit report. I never received any documentation of a **** from Membersfirst credit union.

    We have no record of this individual and are not affiliated with their financial institution. We are a small credit union with branches in 2 ******************* counties. There is no action we are able to take on this request.

    Contacted Creditor/Agency asked for proof of the alleged debt specifically the alleged original application bearing my signature they have not been able to provide such proof to me. Please delete this entire account.

We often get mistaken for other financial institutions with a similar name, but we are not affiliated. I believe this complaint was sent to ** in error. We have no history or information for this individual.
