I had my oil changed at this location on 07/02/2024; the receipt said that I would receive a charge of $95.86, but they actually charged me $98.86. On 07/05/2024, I contacted the headquarters and they said that they would get back to me in three - business days; they have not gotten back to me, so I disputed the charge with my bank. On 12/29/2023 at approximately 1pm, I arrived at Take 5 Oil Change #**** address is ************************************************* Decatur, Ga. ***** for an oil change for my 2009 Dodge Ram 5.7L Hemi truck that did not have any problems. I could hear the technician asking the manager which filter to use because he was not sure which one to use. The manager came over with a filter and I was told the job was complete and it was time to pay. I paid the fee of $110.60 and left. I contacted Take 5 a week later telling them that my engine light is now "on" and the code says incorrect oil filter and Oil pressure Switch. The code was P1524. I took my truck back to them on 1/5/2024 and told them that they put the incorrect oil filter on my truck, which has caused my truck to now drive very rough and my engine is ticking. The manager apologized several times and they replaced it with the correct one. I contacted *** again on 1/12/2024 because now my oil has leaked out of the truck while driving and my engine is now knocking. I spoke with the manager named *** and she stated she would come to my house to look at the truck. She realized a problem and saw the oil leaking out from the bottom of the truck and advised me that its leaking from the oil plug. She said it was enough oil in there to drive to Take 5 to change the plug. I advised her that now my truck runs horrible and is knocking, she stated they would take care of it. They changed the oil plug but will not repair the damages that they have caused. I have called Take 5 several times, they have ignored my calls. I've left several messages with no return call. I have contacted the corporate office and have received no help. My truck is now sitting in my yard with a ruined engine, that Take 5 ruined. I would like for them to get my engine replaced since they ruined it.Initial Complaint

I went for an oil change on 5/23/23, all was going well until I got home and noticed they charged me for a high miliage oil change and they misreported my miles on the reports, now CARFAX emailed me and said my reported miles are 80k+ when my vehicle only has ****** milesCustomer Answer

On July 22 I went into Take 5 for an oil change. I had to back up several times because they did not know how to position my car to where they can access the oil pan. I asked the lady taking my information if they knew what they were doing, she assured me they did. I should have left then. As I pulled onto the highway I kept hearing a scrubbing and knocking noise but attributed it to the highway. I looked under my car and saw the skid plate was hanging and was scraped and torn from dragging on the ground. I called and was told to come back and they would fix it. I went back the next day. They had to cut a piece of the skid plate because it was torn. I asked about the sound it was making. He said he did not see anything that would cause it to make a noise. I told him it was not knocking when I brought it in and they needed to figure it out. I asked if the knocking could have come from the skid plate hitting something under the car. He refused to answer the question. Guess what? By the time I got home (10 mins away) the skid plate was hanging and scrubbing the ground again. When I make sharp turns it knocks. Going over bumps sounds like the suspension is bad. I called corporate and spoke to a man named *** or ***. He talked to me like it was no big deal and had an attitude. He called the store. I went back. The store manager "fixed it" and told me to talk to corporate about the knocking and suspension issue. Guess what? The skid plate came down again. I called corporate. Left messages. No response. I went BACK and the same store manager told me that the holes the screws went in were damaged. He put different screws on and the skid plate hasn't fallen but my car has gotten worse. I took it to someone yesterday but he wouldn't touch it because he doesn't know what they did and didn't want to be responsible. My 16 ******* sounds like a 64 ***** because of what was supposed to be an oil change. And still no response from corporate! I shouldnt have to pay for their mistakeInitial Complaint

I took my car in to get on oil change on 9/30/2022. After the oil change, my check engine light came on. My car has stopped working completely and I contacted my mechanic. Upon checking the oil stick, the mechanic discovered that the oil had been overfilled and caused the engine to lock up. I contacted the store immediately and was told that someone would come and check it out. Then they called back to say that we exceeded the warranty (**** miles or 30 days, whichever comes first). I have read the reviews and found that more than 5 people have complained about the same thing. This business needs to be closed down and the employees need to be retrained. They are promoting 5 minute oil changes but are not doing the job the correct way. There are multiple customers who are having to come out of pocket to get their vehicles fixed after having an oil change done by this company.Initial Complaint

I received an oil change service from Take 5 Oil Change in *******, ** on 5/31/2022 totaling $126.09. During the service, one of your service associates made a couple strange comments about my vehicle. With in the following 5-6 days, I began having car trouble with what I thought was my engine. I took it to a repair shop to have it looked at. The repair shop determined that my vehicle had an extra 3-4 quarts of oil in it. They gave a statement stating it was from the oil shop. When I called take 5, the staff was avoidant and accusatory. They have continued to give the go-around for weeks with no follow up on the issue. I am requesting that the $126.09 from their service on 5/31/2022 and the $232.91 from the mechanic shop be reimbursed to me in full. After weeks of being ignored, I emailed the general manager who responded within ********************************************* because I voided their warranty by going elsewhere. The lack of quality work and customer service at this location has been astounding.Business Response
