Goodwill has went up on prices for used clothing. They take out the discount colors on discount days so what's the use of having a discount day. They charge more than an original price tag in a regular store on new items. I think Goodwill is in it for the money now. I've cut back on my shopping there.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. At Goodwill of North Georgia, we highly value feedback from our guests and strive to offer quality items at a great value while supporting our mission to employ thousands of North Georgians in meaningful jobs and careers each year.

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify our pricing structure. Our apparel prices have remained consistent for the past five years, ensuring continued value for our guests. Additionally, we offer a Color of the Week discount, which provides selected items at a 50% discount throughout the week. This is followed by our 99 Cents Mondays, where the same discounted items are offered at a further reduced price of $.99 cents. After this promotional cycle, we use a standard pulling process to make room for new merchandise, ensuring fresh inventory on our sales floor.

Our mission to Put People to Work is at the heart of our operations, and the support from our shoppers and donors enables us to achieve this. Your contributions  (donating and shopping) help fund our programs and support the local community by providing job/career opportunities.

I am sick and tired of the ridiculous prices. They used to help people be able to afford things they want to need. Greed will catch up with the big wigs. And the one in ********* Ga the a/c has been out for 6 weeks Never any buggies

Thank you for your feedback. We did experience a long-term outage of our AC system in the month of August and worked diligently to get it repaired while trying to maintain a comfortable shopping experience for our guests and team members. While this did take longer than we would like, we are happy to say that the units are currently in working order. We had a similar situation with our shopping carts as several were sent in for repair. We are in the process of moving carts from another location to ease this issue in the coming days. As it relates to our prices, we can say that we have not instituted a price increase in the last three and a half years. We will continue to evaluate pricing to ensure we are offering a great treasure hunting experience at a great value to support our mission of putting people to work throughout the North Georgia Communities we serve.

I worked there 6 years ago and again a few months ago. I am 60, have 4 misdemeanors. I was literally living under a piece of plastic next to a Railroad tracks for 6 months prior to starting back at Goodwill. 2 of the misdemeanors was "criminal trespassing" which means asking for money, no felonies. Anyway, I was working for almost 3 months, doing good, living in a shop for yard work and a good guy was driving me both ways to and from work. At almost 3 months, my background came in and they fired me for not being Goodwill material. I was mentoring the young guys coming in every week. So, then I hear a commercial on TV, saying if you are a FELON, call # for a job at Goodwill. Holy ****, I am not a FELON and you fired me for having substance issues. Nearly impossible to get a job at 60, Thanks for NOTHING. Goodwill my _ss. I was getting on my feet, that stopped cold.

Thank you for reaching out.Although at Goodwill of North Georgia, we conduct background checks prior to hiring, backgrounds are not always a deterrent to working at Goodwill. Our goal is to ensure we provide a supportive and safe environment for everyone. These background inquiries are not done until after extending our job offers, but prior to finalizing the hiring process of all individuals, not after the hire. Additionally, Goodwill of North Georgia advertisements only focus on inviting our guests to shop or donate to support our mission of putting people to work.We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you are facing. Waited for a week for the orange tag to go on sale. Item was a orange tag last week. Went in and it had been changed to blue. Spoke with the manager and he said well its blue now. Ripoff.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the recent issue you experienced with the Color of the Week discount. Please be assured that our color discounts begin on Sundays and end on Saturdays, offering 50% off for programmed settings at all Goodwill of North Georgia stores. We will revisit the process with our teams to ensure consistency in executing the discount color of the week.
