    My Mother, ******* *. **** was never informed that Cancer Care of Dublin was closing indefinitely September 24, 2024. The number is ###-###-####. She heard it from another patient. We have contacted a new facility, ****** ****** ** ****** ******* to inform that she would like to become a new patient. My Mother has continual cancer treatment every 6 weeks. She went to get her medical records to take to the other Cancer Center, but an employee, Dorothy, office manager, told her that it would cost her $150.00 to take her records to the other facility that they would not accept her records from her which was a LIE because I called the other Center. She also advised to make copies of her file. Dorothy said it would cost thousands of dollars when the current Doctor has already left/quit. Dorothy is not a doctor or nurse, and she does not have authority to withhold anyone's medical records. I called her October 1st @ 10:45 am and told Dorothy to transfer my Mother's medical records to ****** ****** ** ****** ******* located at **** ******** ** *** *** ****** ** ****** She said ok that she will transfer them. The other Center said that they had problems with Dorothy too. She handles the finances of the company. My Mother went October 3, 2024, to make sure they transfered her medical records, and Dorothy told her no because she needed a referral. How in the hell can she get a referral when she does not have a new doctor? The representative at ****** ****** ** ****** ******* told me that they need her records, and then they will call my Mother to set up an appointment. My Mother is 75 years, and I am very disgusted that she is being treated like a field nigga. All she needs is her medical records transfered to ****** ****** ** ****** ******* so that she will not miss her next scheduled appointment for treatment. Dorothy needs to be fired and held accountable for fraudulently holding medical records from a patient and not referring to a Medical Facility.

    The patient daughter is mistaken in what she said. We are closing but on Oct 24,2024. We mailed a letter to the patient about our closing since she didn't have an appt to come in the office before closing. The patient only came into the office and did request for her records we told her we wasn't sure at the time how much it will cost cuz she had been a patient over 13 years and she wanted every single page. We asked her who would she like to go to or what facility and we would send it because every facility needs a referral. The daughter called us the next day told us what facility to send her moms records to and we did the patient came in later that day we confirmed that with the patient and she was happy and satisfied.
