    I've been Media Temple customer for almost 10 years. Since mid-2022 they where bought by ******* and the service quality got poor and poor. The service subscription jumped from $240 to $300 and I decided to keep the service paying monthly, but they want to change it. I don't have $300 to reactivate the service and all my client data are with them and they are threatening me to delete all my data if I don't pay the full annual price.I just want to have access to my data and pay by the service monthly. They are against GDPR not allowing me to access my data, even I'm agreeing to pay for it montly.

    MediaTemple, once a very stable hosting company which was some years ago bought out by GoDaddy, but was left with good support and services has recently diminished support, given long term customers inferior services while also nearly doubling fees in the past several months. Here are the issues:1. Lack of support - Phone wait times over 2-hours + No response on chats + retiring the support ticket process as of last July. No one responds for weeks on end, not to email requests for support, nor social media direct messages.2. All of a sudden a few months ago our fees at $18/ month for hosting grid (already high in the business) went up to $29/ month. Unaffordable for a small consulting group such as we are. We have paid, reluctantly because we've hosted with them for 20 years.3. our emails have not been working properly for over a month now and I have been trying to get support sorted out without any response for over a month.4. 1-week ago we made the company decision to transfer our website to a new hosting company. I went onto MediaTemple, correctly chose to unlock one of our company domains we purchased, got the authorization code for the transfer and then my other hosting company came back and said MediaTemple had locked the domain and they couldn't transfer. I finally got a response from MT via email that it was unlocked and I could transfer now. I tried again.5. Today I find out they suspended the account on our main company site due to a payment issue. The bill was paid, but getting billing support has also been impossible. Now the transfer code we needed to change to new hosting company was sent to my main email, which I can not get.We're going in *************** ago GoDaddy was known for this kind of domain hijacking and bad practices. Seems MediaTemple as GoDaddy is now trying to hijack the account.CUSTOMERS BEWARE! we don't make this review lightly. We were 20-year loyal customers now treated like we don't exist.

    I have made multiple attempts to contact the Media Temple billing department via chat and phone. I was misinformed about my billing and would like it corrected.
