      I was contacted by a guy on Instagram who goes by the name of ******** and Abundance. He reached out to me about investing in bitcoins with a company called Optimufx. So at first, I started with a small amount, around $300, and it tripled. The alleged company had several tiers: basic, gold, silver, and platinum. So, to get to basic tier you had to put $1000 and I did. And my investment went up. So, I put even more money in using my Bitcoin $200 and using my CashApp and credit card totaling over $9k which was Gold status. They kept prompting me to check Optimumfx. But what I noticed was that the company wanted me to verify the account. So I tried to verify it but it wouldn't allow for me to do so. So then, the person says I shouldn't try to do that because of his management. I thought that was odd but since the several investments the account went up to $42k so he made contact with me through Telegram. However, I noticed that he was trying to get me to invest 20k and that I would make silver. I shared with him that I had depleted my bank account and that I needed to withdraw some of the money I had. He said no and tried to convince me to take a bank loan. And I said I need help now because I don't have enough money to pay my bills. And he told me to borrow from my wife. So I sent him ******************************************************* saying check your account. Now it's at 52k. It was then when he contacted me by ******** again and said if I didn't invest that I was going to lose my account profit. He was now telling me to invest 12k instead of 20k. I told him I wanted at least ************************************************************ to withdraw the profits I earned. It was then I realized I was scammed.I tried contacting Georgia United Credit Union to ask for their help, however I received no response whatsoever.Please help me get in touch with Georgia United Credit Union and resolve the issue I am facing.

      Georgia United Credit Union ("GUCU") was sorry to hear previously of ******************* unfortunate circumstances and sent in March of 2024 a letter response to both his physical address of record and the email address by which he contacted us.  In that letter, and here, we recognized that the lure of potential windfall from new financial products can be powerful and that parties may abuse that lure to cause significant harm.  However, ******************** complaint relates almost exclusively relates to a third party - not GUCU - to whom he voluntarily transferred funds over a space of weeks.  As we advised **************** in our correspondence, we are required to effectuate his voluntary electronic transfers unless instructed to attempt to undo them promptly after any such transfer is made, and **************** unfortunately brought his concerns to our attention long after the expiration of any legal right of recall toward other institutions.  ************** lengthy description states no other complaint toward GUCU than the untrue allegation that his inquiries to us did not receive a response, and as **** has no control over or relationship with whomever may have received ******************** intentional transfers of funds, we encourage **************** to contact law enforcement or bring a civil action regarding that person but must remind him that **** has no authority to solve his other concerns and, accordingly, we ask that this complaint be closed as resolved.

      My Account is currently in review due to me putting in too many loan applications the had advised me that the only reason the did this was because they thought it was fraud I have provided them all types of identification to prove that is was applying for these applications.. I also had received a 2600 hundred dollar loan at the time review the took 1600 dollars of the money and told Me I would have to pay the ***** and my contract will be Reconstructed I didnt agree to this at all I told you cant do that I have already signed documents and been funded the loan Im coming here to get my account situated and rest of my loan back.

      Georgia United Credit Union appreciates the opportunity to respond to the comments by ****************** regarding this rejection of our initial response.  Upon our receipt of his explanation for his rejection, we have reviewed the circumstances related to the loan account in question, and, upon further review, we concluded, as we did in response to his original complaint, that the Credit Union adhered to policy.  ****************** request has been fully addressed through this channel as well as other proper channels. The basis for Georgia Uniteds actions with respect to the loan product he refers to in his complaint has been adequately provided to him and, given the nature of this complaint,  we believe that we have addressed this BBB filing to the fullest extent possible here. It will not be discussed further in this forum, and we consider this matter closed. Thank you.

      I had one 5 dollar late payment on my entire history with gucu credit card .This was due to the minimum being slightly higher one month .The irony is that the payment comes out of auto draft from gucu account to gucu ********************** card.I pointed this out I was told that due to the amount due to the fact a payment was posted on time although 5 dollars short and due to the fact it is in fact the only time ever that They could remove it .Instead they updated it to reflect a negative late payment This caused my credit score to drop about *********************************************** 1000s in intrest going forward. THANKS for verbally saying one thing then doing the polar opposite .I will be taking my account elsewhere. I have had car loans mortgages personal loans credit card loans. Through all these years Through layoffs health issues etc never had but 1 payment 5 dollar short automatic draft and this is how you repay **** do wish you would keep your words you say about your customers I am done.

      A good will adjustment could easily be done. And has been done in the past fo others. I was told this by 2 different employees. The lady I spoke to claims she has mo one in authority above her. So much for value customers speech.  Apparently I will go back to paper billing .When auto billing fouls up The consumer is left to take the blame. Iwill take my money elsewhere..

      **** keeps denying me the right to make payments towards the principal balances on my car loan and **** accounts that I have with them. After making the mandatory monthly payments each month, I have the right to add more money directed toward the principal balances on any account. This ********************************************* refuses to follow the customers attached conversation via the online banking instructions to apply any and all additional money payments as toward principal balance only. **** feels as though they have a right to put my payments where they chose and not as I wanted or instructed when making my additional payments. I have filed continuous complaints about their banking business practices toward telling me I have no right to make principal payments toward balances on these accounts. I want to pay down my balances any time I desire.

      I filed a dispute on 1047 dollars against ************** in ******* ** ,days ********* lied and committed fraud against me by falsely not giving all information on my 2017 Chevrolet I bought through Georgia United credit union , I was not giving a while car fax I was giving a partial car fax I want this resolved I received a letter stating that there was not error and now yall are gonna charge back the amount ,I am frustrated and mad and very disappointed and angry , yall are protecting this dealership and its showing just how bad Im being done here by a dealership knowing I have a witness of jest I been through I feel yall are protecting this company not me or my interest, this is putting a very bad taste in my mouth and I was going of get family and friends to join , I will not pain for that money , this dealership has caused my insurance and I gave paperwork showing that they never provided the car fax ,data Chevrolet kept the other accident from me when I bought this car ,its like I was ignored by this supervisor on what I been through, I found out f*** I bought this vehicle that there was two accidents not one but two and it has affected my insurance, the insurance company wanted 2500 dollars for 6 months because of the two accidents,now clear this up or Ill go somewhere else , I can not express. Just his angry I am. Its like all yall are doing is protecting a company that committed fraud against yall Georgia United credit union yall provided a check for the amount of the car and dont care how they treated me or deceived a customer,this whole transaction was done on fraud and deception,and its like yall dont care about me yalls customer or member its days Chevrolet,I want this resolved and reopen this dispute , Im tired of being treated like this and Im to the point Im very frustrated with this , yall are letting days Chevrolet get away of lying to yall and me , **** wrote the check for ****** dollars I guess yall dont care , I want this done

      The credit union stopped mailing me a statement I didn't know that until I got a late statement out of the mail so I went by to pay and ask what was wrong why didn't I get a regular statement they said they have stopped mailing statements I said that is wrong how can you just all of a sudden stop mailing me a statement they told me it's the way we do business now I'm 61. Years old this kind of change is not fair to me or anyone I pay all of my bills on time but not this time it cost me a late fee that should be done away with and if they can mail me a late statement surly they can mail me a regular statement it seems like they are trying to ex out old people please help me get this resolved I'm not asking for much just a monthly statement like I have always received from them

      I'm deeply troubled by the sharing of my nonpublic information with credit bureaus, leading to inaccuracies in my report. This has caused immense financial and emotional distress. Under 15 USC **** Section 602, I have the right to privacy. Additionally, 15 USC **** Section 604 A Section 2 prohibits furnishing accounts without my written instructions. Moreover, under 15 USC **** B, late treatment of payments on my account is prohibited.Please rectify these inaccuracies promptly to alleviate the distress caused. My account number is ***********.       Georgia United Credit Union has delayed payoff of my vehicle and damages my credit even after I contacted them multiple times regarding the ongoing situation. Their employee, *****************************, even made a phone call threatening me when they were not satisfied with the situation. This has resulted in Georgia United damaging my credit and fraudulently charging me an extra $220 even though the vehicle should be paid off. They received two forms of payment, the first of which they were very unprofessional about, especially when it came to responding to the other companies involved in the payments.

      I have had a constant conflict of information provided to me by this credit union's customer service reps via written online banking inquires and telephone conversations. I was recently told that **** is incapable of making my additional payments before and after my monthly payment due date has been made to be applied to my principal balance on my GUCU **** account. That GUCU stopped doing this in April 2023. I was never notified either by mail or telephone as one of their customers. I have to demand with them to apply my additional payments without taking out more interest charges since I have already paid my monthly payment due which is on the 15th of the month recurring. GUCU will not comply. Also in the month of October **** charged me two interest charges on my car loan with them, when I paid my loan on 10/05/23 and an additional payment like my GUCU **** account on 10/30/23. My monthly payments are not due until the 13th of the month. GUCU customer service reps via telephone conversations have a different excuse of their policies and procedures every time their is a customer inquiry or complaint about how they charge interest on my accounts, and that I am not allowed to make principal payments AT ALL to my GUCU **** Account to decrease my account balances, when I have made it in the past. I have been a customer since 2019.
