I have had an account with ********************** for over a year now. Since August they have not paid the tolls for the vehicle(s) covered under my account. There is no way to actually speak to a representative, everything is done by email or chat, mainly chat. The representatives that I always seem to get is ****** or *****. I have saved my entire chat log since August. They offered me a $5 credit to my account and told me to pay the tolls myself. I have kept my account in good standing since I downloaded it. I just want them to pay the bill.

The customer was offered a refund for their fees that were charged as violation via PayPal however the customer refused that option. On 10/1/2023, the total violation fee of $5 was refunded to the customers credit card on the account.

I signed up for Uproad several years ago while traveling to ** from CA. I have tried several times since then to close the account and stop the automatic payments and have not been successful. When I speak to someone I always explain the same thing, I live rural, I have no tolls near where I live and I don't travel enough to continue to keep the app. Each time I am assured the account has been closed and then I catch them charging me again for it.

I got this app uproad until I could straighten things out with ez pass. So my car was in the shop and my son had an event which my boyfriend drove me to. I told him I'll use uproad to pay the tolls. That night since he was ***** about it I showed him on my phone the tolls registered. Uproad took the money out of my account but my boyfriend got a ticket from ez pass. I told him don't worry I paid it and I just have to have uproad confirm it. They refused to help me. Telling me how do I know they took the money. Because it was taken out of my account. Again refused to help me... They take your money but no customer service. This could of resulted with my boyfriend losing his licence. They don't care they take your money but do not stand behind the product. They took fees which I want back there's like 8 charges f .90 a hit. But do not confirm payments. Now today I got a ***** on my bank account after I closed the account but the tolls that are overdue in the amount of ***** are unpaid with more fees of .90. I want all my fees taken because they did not do what they said. Also when they hit my account twice for $***** they told me I was wrong and they weren't going to refund me until I said that I was going to contest it with my bank then oh all of a sudden stop you know the payment for my bank they are thieves they don't say what they're going to do I don't understand I kept telling them I was in the car with my boyfriend what difference does it make how it gets paid what car I'm in you took the money out of my account for the $6.40 or whatever it was and then they smacked my boyfriend with 15 $50 per fine it's ridiculous and he drives for a living so this put his job at you know risk and they didn't want to hear anything they did not want to hear me they refused to help me so I want all my 90-cent fees back on the whole account because they did not live up to their end of the bargain either

Regarding the complaints about customers boyfriends tickets, her boyfriend is not a registered customer of **********************.  The violation ticket the boyfriend received shows a different License Plate Number for the vehicle from one the customer has registered on her ********************** account. Therefore, this complaint was denied by customer service during a chat on 30th of October.  Since the boyfriend is not our customer, the tolling agency fined him for not paying his toll (Uproad did not issue any fines to the boyfriend since he is not our customer).
We believe this comes down to a misunderstanding of the product by the customer.  In order to pay for tolls for her boyfriends vehicle, the customer would have needed to register her boyfriends vehicles LPN (so Uproad could register it as one of our vehicles with the toll authorities).
Furthermore, if the customer has our Toll Alerts feature enabled, it will show an app alert when you pass a toll and how much the toll is expected to cost.  However, this is just a convenience notice of what might be charged (since we only know the customer traveled through the toll point we cannot verify at that moment if the driver is driving a registered vehicle with Uroad).  These toll alerts do not get charged to the users account until the toll agency verifies the toll.  Since the customer was not the owner of the vehicle with the vehicle LPN registered, this is an unfortunate misunderstanding by the customer of how these toll alerts work, as this particular alert would not and did end up being charged on her account.
In a separate incident with this customer, a double $18.40 charge was discussed with customer service chat in November. She indeed had one of her transactions duplicated (those shown by her as pending), but our system ultimately declined one (correctly) and accepted another (correctly). If the Customer can provide a screenshot as a proof with two transactions that have cleared the pending status we will refund the necessary changes, but our system shows one charged and one refunded.
Lastly, all funds deposited to the customer's account were spent for tolls that belong to her vehicle, as verified by the tolling authorities, so there is nothing further to refund.
