I was hired to do remote data entry. I was contacted and was told that I got the position by a person working in the HR department of Champions IFM. They also told me that we would be doing most of our communication on the Signal App. They told me that I needed to purchase computers and printers in order to set up an at home office. They sent me a check for **** dollars and told me to deposit it in my account. The next day they asked me to transfer the money via cashapp and when that didn't work they told me to withdraw **** and to go to a Coin Star and make a deposit via bitcoin. The next day I was told that it was not enough and that they were going to send me another check to cover the expenses. Before any amount was discussed they sent me another check for **** dollars. They asked me to deposit the check and there was a hold on my account. Both checks bounced and I was charged for the first checks. I called and sent emails to the company with no reply.

I applied for and was told I received a remote data entry position in a company called Champions IFM. The contact was made via email and a messenger called Signal. The contact was called ********************************* **************.I received a check in the amount of $7,300 to purchase equipment I would need for the position.I was then instructed to make a payment via cash-app to ***************************** Cashapp Tag- $ShepsM4547 for the amount of $1,000. That transaction did not complete.Because of this I was instructed to withdraw $6,900 of the funds from my account in cash and make payments via a Coin Star inside a ******* at ***********************************************. I made 2 purchases via bitcoin in the amount of $3,400 each to 2 numbers: ************ and ************. The amount purchased in total was $6,800. I was informed that remainder was for a sign on bonus and for travel expenses to get to my bank. After making these payments I received no further messages from the contact. My bank informed me that they honored the check but the *************** later called the check fraud and that I am liable for the full amount.I have all the text messages shared between myself and ********************************* via Signal messenger along with 2 emails I received related to the position.
