Web Design Glory was engaged for the creation of a website for my subscription-based business. The company has exhibited unprofessional behavior and extreme delays, despite nearly a year having passed since the project began.Initial Agreement took place on *************** cost for the website development was $900, paid in four installments:($225) at project start, (paid).($225) upon design approval (paid).($225) upon back-end completion (paid).($225) before going live (paid even though site is not yet live).A questionnaire was filled out outlining the features for the website, which the business acknowledged.Initial agreement included member dashboard with an admin panel to manage subscriber content. Despite this, the company later insisted on an amendment to include these features, which was agreed upon on 06-14-2024, for an additional $525:$131 Project Mobilization Fee (paid).$131 upon approval of mockups (paid).$263 upon completion (pending)On July 2024, due to the company's lack of response and unprofessionalism, we left negative reviews on various platforms and the company then promised to complete the members' dashboard and replaced the project manager.Since 07-17-2024, the company has been working on developing and implementing the member dashboard. Front-end mockups were presented and approved in October 2024, but since then, deadlines for the back-end and admin panel have repeatedly been set and missed. Despite multiple follow-ups, the company provides vague responses, and most of the time, it takes 3 to 5 emails from my side just to receive an update, which often results in another delayed *********** date, the company has not provided a complete presentation of how the integration of the member dashboard will *********** definitive date has been given for the final delivery of the project so that it can go live.I request the BBB to intervene and ensure that the company completes the project as initially agreed upon in a timely manner.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Response to Web Design Glorys Statement Regarding My Complaint
Thank you for providing Web Design Glorys response to my complaint. However, their account of events contains significant inaccuracies, particularly regarding communication and feedback. I would like to clarify the timeline with factual details:
Email Sequence Misrepresentation:
Web Design Glory tailored the sequence of emails provided, omitting my responses to their communication. This creates a misleading impression that I was unresponsive, which is simply untrue.
Timeline of Key Communications:
On January 16, 2025, they sent me a test link URL and credentials to access the members dashboard. I responded the same day, noting that what was provided was the same mockups we had reviewed months ago, with no admin panel functionality included. I followed up multiple times on the same day, as well as on January 17, 20, and 21, without receiving any functional progress.
On January 21, Web Design Glory responded, stating they would send me an update by the end of the week. I immediately asked for meeting credentials for that week. They stated that meeting credentials would be sent after providing the admin panel (around January 27).
On January 27, they sent me a test link for the admin panel. I responded on January 28, requesting meeting credentials to review the work and provide feedback. I followed up on January 31 and February 3 but did not receive any responses.
On February 4, I finally received a response saying they could showcase the work later that week. On February 6, I again requested meeting credentials. Their response came on February 7, stating they had a packed schedule and could only meet the following week.
On February 14, I followed up again after receiving no communication from their side the entire week. They then claimed I had not provided feedback, which is factually incorrect.
Summary of Misrepresentation:
Throughout this process, I have consistently requested progress updates and provided feedback promptly when functional work was presented. Web Design Glorys failure to provide updates or honor commitments for meetings and demonstrations has been the primary cause of the delay. Their assertion that I was unresponsive is disingenuous and does not reflect the actual communication timeline.
Proposed Resolution:
To resolve this matter fairly, I request the following:
Complete transparency of work progress with a detailed demonstration of all current functionality.
Clear and confirmed meeting arrangements to allow me to review the work and provide final feedback without further delays.
I remain committed to working in good faith to resolve the project, but Web Design Glory must be transparent and accurate moving forward. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
**** ************Business Response

Hello, on 11/1/24, I hired Web Design Glory to make some changes to my current website, ******************. We agreed on $100 to move the products to a separate page. I paid them and spoke with them to give them more details on how I wanted it to look. On 11/7, they reached out and suggested I move my website from ******* to Wordpress for $799, which is not something I could afford to do. They said they wouldnt be able to make the changes on the current website platform unless I bought an increased capacity plan on ******* which is expensive. I told them that if thats the case and if they cant complete the work without more funds, then we cant move forward and requested a refund. At first; they declined the refund because they said it was my decision to terminate the agreement. Today, 11/12, someone reached out to me and said they could refund me 66%, not 100%, because they already allocated the resources. I feel that I should be 100% as they cant complete the work.Business Response

I signed a contract and paid Web Design Glory $1200 on Tuesday 17 Sept. The business was contracted to provide Wed Design services an a basic SEO plan as part of an effort to improve the user experience for my e-commerce website. When I talked to the sales *** on 14 Sept. I was very clear about what I was looking for and he crafted a package that was supposed to meet my needs. Prior to signing the contract, I again re-iterated that I wanted a review of my website to ensure that the package would meet my needs. On the first call with the ** on 18 Sept. which I thought was just an introductory call, he kept attempting to upsell me on a 2400 package because the contract did not cover all the elements of work needed. I expressed my frustration and initially considered cancelling the contract then and there. However, I agree to continue but again, the ** was not very clear in his communication when asked for direct information. At this point I because increasingly concerned that only two days into signing the contract I was already having issues and had lost trust in the ** and that I would get what I paid for. I sent a termination request on 20 Sept. and a text on 21 Sept. I received no response. I then forwarded the email and sent a text on 9/23 at 1:10pm at which time the ** called but would not accept the termination request or a request for a full refund. The statement of work states We are currently the only company in ******* operating with 30 days money back guarantee with our service and 100% money back guarantee. I have all the emails to support our communications.Business Response

payment to Web design glory made on 08.06.24, in the amount of $330. Deposit made for WEBDesign and logo. Deliverables were not met and I am requesting a full refund. The contract I signed was for logo and web creation which neither of the two have been done. per agreement I accepted it states Refund guaranteed and email from company itself states, refund will be made if they cannot deliver, and they have not delivered. they are claiming 65% of my deposit for development creation when all they did was plug in my suggestions to a mock site (which I got from another similar site) the demo link they provided (which you can't demo anything on) was not my liking and DOES NOT MEET OR EXCEED MY EXPECTATIONS. The terms and conditions I signed and agreed to states refund guaranteed but now they are changing the terms and saying I agreed to different terms. I am attaching, agreement which makes no mention of terms and conditions, email where I am disapproving so called demo link and disputing the outrageous amount they want to keep. They only want to refund me $115. I want my refundBusiness Response

******* *********** filed a complaint against Web Design Glory after requesting a full refund for a website project, despite the company completing the work as agreed. Web Design Glory pointed to their Terms & Conditions, which do not allow refunds for a "change of mind" after substantial progress, but still offered a partial refund of $115 as a goodwill gesture. ******* rejected this offer, escalated the dispute via a bank chargeback, and posted negative reviews, which Web Design Glory claims are false. The company remains committed to resolving the issue amicably while standing by its work and contract terms.Customer Answer

1. *** refuses to abide by their contract, I was promised FULL refund if they could not deliver. They should be held accountable for misleading and
misrepresenting themselves to me. *** representative did not disclose any terms and condition until AFTER I rejected the work.
2. I tried to come to an agreement to no avail and negotiate to come to and reasonable understanding. They refuse to acknowledge and take accountability for their actions and promises made to me.
3.WDG continues to spread false lies, they DID NOT DELIVER COMPLETE WEBSITE, as you can see it's in coming soon status and being worked on by another company.
if you see website is under Contruction, not sure why they claim its complete. ***********************
4. In conclusion, if *** cannot take responsibility for their actions, and come to reasonable refund amount i will have to pursue other measures.
The contract should be deemed voided based on what I am providing they made promise and did not come through with the project. In additional lying about completing
my website. Yes, they worked on a demo site and provided a link test, but that does not mean the work was completed as they stated.

To Whom It May Concern,
This letter addresses the complaint filed by Ms. ******* *********** regarding her project with Web Design Glory (WDG). While we regret the misunderstanding and her dissatisfaction, it is important to clarify the situation and present our perspective based on documented facts.
Allegations of Contract Breach and Misrepresentation
Ms. *********** claims that *** breached our contract and failed to disclose terms and conditions. We strongly refute this allegation. Before the project began, Ms. *********** was given full access to our terms and conditions, which are available on our website and were reiterated during the onboarding process. As outlined in our policies, refunds are not issued once work has commenced, particularly given the significant progress made on her project.
Our offer of a partial refund of $115.00, which represents 35% of the amount paid, was extended as a goodwill gesture, not out of obligation, as her dissatisfaction arose after substantial work had already been completed.
Efforts to Resolve the Issue
Ms. *********** asserts that *** refused to reach an agreement. This is inaccurate. Despite our policy on non-refundable services once development has started, we proactively offered her a partial refund and additional complimentary services as a gesture of goodwill. Ms. *********** declined these offers and instead initiated a chargeback process with her bank, which we believe was both unnecessary and contrary to the documented terms of our agreement.
Website Delivery
Ms. *********** also alleges that we failed to deliver a completed website, which is incorrect. She approved the design on August 23rd, 2024, after which the development was finalized within 72 hours. The website was delivered according to the agreed timeline. Although the website is now under a "coming soon" status with a different company, this does not negate the fact that *** fulfilled its obligations in full.
We also have documented proof that Ms. *********** participated in the review and testing process, including design revisions that were made based on her feedback.
Future Actions and Conclusion
WDG has fully adhered to its contractual and ethical obligations throughout this project. While we respect Ms. ************* decision to move forward with another company, we stand by the quality of our work and its timely delivery. In conclusion, *** remains open to issuing the previously offered partial refund of $115.00, provided Ms. *********** retracts her bank dispute and discontinues any further defamatory claims.
We trust this clarification resolves any misunderstandings, and we are open to resolving this matter fairly and amicably.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
The Web Design Glory TeamCustomer Answer
