On 5/2/2024 I was referred to remove Number 17 wisdom tooth due to pain and discomfort. I had the procedure done on 5/24/2024 by ***** ***** III at Atlanta ***************************** Surgery. I went back to my dentist weeks later indicating I was still in pain. He prescribed antibiotics, subsequently Ive had oral steroids injections 3 times. Two weeks ago I decided to get a second opinion and I was advised that Number 17 was still there and was not removed. Ive contacted ***** ***** III at Atlanta ***************************** to rectify this matter and he excused me out of his office due me indicating that the facility didnt care that I have been experiencing pain for almost a year and his failure to explain his diagnosis. He said I had 2 number 17 teeth. However, he never advised me I had 2 number 17 teeth. I havent been able to chew on the left side of my mouth for over 8 months due to his negligence and rude behavior. On the day of the surgery I attempted to tell the doctor I was scared of the procedure and he told me I can get off his table because he had other patients in the other rooms.

I am seeking assistance in addressing disparate treatment and rapacious billing practices by Atlanta ***************************** Surgery. On July 29, 2021 I visited ************************, DMD at Atlanta ***************************** Surgery for removal of residual tooth roots (cutting procedure). I was asked to pay $690.00 for the procedure. I paid the full amount from my ***************** Chase Debit Card. Shortly thereafter the practice submitted a claim for $690.00 to Humana. Humana Dental paid the contracted rate for the claim on August 10, 2022 (Claim #***************) in the amount of $510.00.The claim was submitted surreptitiously to obtain an overpayment. As soon as I received the claim details from Humana Dental I began calling Atlanta Oral and Facial to determine when I would receive the $510.00 overpayment. I got the runaround from the practice for weeks without a return phone call, text or Email. Finally on September 15, 2022 I reached *********************, Implant ********************* for ****************************, DMD. During our conversation **** assured me that I would receive the full refund of $510.00 by September 15, 2022. When I received a check for $380.00 in November imagine my consternation. The remittance was reduced by $30.00 without explanation. This is proof positive that ******** fraud is the foundation of Atlanta Oral's business model.
