    September of 2022 I entered into an agreement with Ideal Auto Care to remove, install, and overhaul the transmission of my 2000 f250. The work was said to be completed December 20, 2022 and the truck was returned to me. $3000.74 was paid to Ideal Auto as agreed. However, weeks later the truck was flashing warnings for transmission problems again. The truck was returned to Ideal and I was l told by Russell it needed a new battery and transmission speed sensor. I replaced the battery and paid for the sensor to be installed. However, once again the transmission symptoms continued to occur. The truck was taken back again for warranty repair. Russell now said the transmission was the problem and he had removed the transmission and began taking out parts. Weeks later he claimed the new parts needed were unavailable. He acknowledged he could smell the transmission burning. In March 2023 we received no information. In April 2023 we went to the the business and again was told the parts were on backorder. I asked what part(s) was needed and was told it was the valve body And again this was on backorder. Upon my own investigation I was able to find the needed valve body from a manufacturer. I had Russell contact the manufacturer/supplier to inquire if they were compatible parts. The parts were ordered and to be received Monday, May 8th 2023. I have not received any communication or updates since that time. At this point I need my truck completed and running as I have already paid for this work. This has been going on since September of 2022. I have been very patient and have been force to initiate any and all communication regarding the status of this job. Again this needs to be completed or I am requesting a full refund in the amount of $3000.74 so that I can utilize an alternate mechanic capable of completing this work.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This has been a repeated response during this ordeal. I expect and am seeking the completion of the repair or a full refund (amount previously stated).  Should a full refund be issued, I will promptly arrange for the truck to be towed to another mechanic capable of completing the transmission overhaul.  I’m rejecting this reply as it is only a blanket statement and does not give any date for resolution.
