I bought a ford explorer from select auto on February 24th 2024. We paid full cash at the amount of $16,150.00. Select auto committed to selling me a working and running car with no issues. I am claiming a dispute due to the car not working after 5 weeks of having it. Has been driven less than 3,000 since bought from select auto. I talked to the owner of the dealership to let him know how I felt. Which resulted on him cussing me out.

We sold the 2016 explorer as/is with no warranty the customer had it 5 weeks and put 3000 miles on it. And called me to tell me it started making a noise he thought was a timing belt  he  tool to his mechanic.  Then he call back a week later and said his mechanic said it needed a motor. At this point i drove to his mechanic  to listen to the motor. When i got there the mechanic could not find the ket finally he found it when we started it it made absolutely no noise I listened to it for 10 minutes. And told the mechanic the car definitely did not need a motor.  I called the customer back and told him the car did not need a motor to take it to my mechanic and I would get a second opinion on what it needed. Probably a timing chain kit. I checked with my mechanic a few days later and he said he talk to him, but he never brought the car. That's the last I heard from this customer, this car was sold as is normally if Something Happens within a week or so I will fix it but this car was driven 3000 miles for five weeks. The customer also explained he started packing when his wife was 45 minutes away from home. The car went into limp mode instead of stopping. She drove the car 45 minutes in and limp mode so I do not know what damage she had done to the car but I have had no correspondence since I told him to take it to my mechanic thank you select auto.

this is a common problem with ford explorers that the customer could have found in less than 5 seconds. By ******
