I hired Mr clean to do a job that he bid for 7,000.00 and gave him a deposit to pay for the supplies that it would take to do the job. After tha he became impossible to get a hold of and would text days that they would show up to work and nothing would happen. 30-40 days later I would get a day they would show up and then nothing again. I payed him in the beginning of August and he’s been on the site less than 10 hours and has laid these than 200.00 worth of pipe. He sent me a message that he was coming tomorrow to put in 3 drains and that’s about 1/8 of the job he was hired to do, then he says that it’s going to make us even and he’s not doing anymore work. He has not done any of the work we agreed to and the equipment he was providing is about 3 thousand dollars worth of supplies. He hasn’t earned 4k

WE WENT OUT THERE TO SET OUT A SLAB FOR HIM. THERE WERE 4 OF WORKING. WE GOT THROUGH IN 4 HOURS. IT WAS INSPECTED AND APPROVED. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE WORK. THE CONCRETE MEN MESSED IT UP AND I WENT BACK OUT THERE AND FIXED IT. IT GOT MESSED UP AGAIN. HE WAS TRYING TO TELL ME WHAT TO CHARGE. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T WANT TO CONTINUE WITH THIS JOB. HE TOLD ME NOT TO COME BACK AND NOT TO SEND ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE. WHEN HE TOLD ME THAT, IT MADE THE CONTRACT INVALID.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

he has taken my money and finished 1/8 of the promised work. He change the contract when he told me he was going to put in the floor drains and that would be the end of his work. Mike changed the contract we had at that point and did not want to have him put them in and say that’s what I paid him for. Our contract and agreement was that he would install the floor drains, and plumb the motor install the tankless water heater he was to provide. When that was done I was going to pay him another 3k to install a line to the street with a sewage pump. So for him to say that the floor drains and 4 hours of work was worth 4,000.00 is crazy to me and I was not ok with it. Then he says that I changed the contract. The problem is, he set the pipes on the ground and didn’t set them with anything. Then he set plastic cover over the drain with out doing anything to keep them in place. They moved from the weight of the concrete and now is trying to blame everyone else. The concrete guy and I set up a time to meet and figure it out, on a Sunday because it’s the only day Mike said he had available. He did not show up, the concrete guy was going to try and help fix the problem but Mike would never respond. Mike has been very hard to work with. I have text that he would say he was showing up to work 14 times in the first 4 months and he showed up once. He has done nothing he wrote in our contract. He has taken the money and won’t respond.

    Sincerely,

I was planning on getting my master bathroom renovated, Mike ******* of Mr. Clean Plumbing required a down payment before he'd put me on his schedule. On April *** 2022 I made a down payment of $4000.00 (check# 1351). Several days later my heat pump went out, I spoke with Mr. ******* and we came to agreement that I would pay a 25% cancellation penalty ($1000.00) and he would refund the remainder in two (2) weeks. I never received my refund and Mr. ******* ignored all my attempts to contact him until the first week in September when I received a text from Carol of Mr. Clean Plumbing stating that she would be mailing a certified check in the amount of $4000.00 to me on September **** I still haven't received the check and they've gone back to ignoring my attempts to contact them. Mr. ******* broke our agreement so my offer to pay a cancelation penalty is null and void so I want a full refund in the amount of $4000.00 via certified check. If I don't get my refund my next step will to be to file a lien against Mr. Clean Plumbing.
