    On ******* ***** *, Marler's Plumbing (2 plumbers) came to my house to fix a leaking bathtub faucet. The plumber said that often a washer will start leaking, but if that didn't stop the problem the pipes/valve might need to be replaced. I asked him to go ahead replace the pipes/valve. He said no, to try the washer first. They did the work and left. When he left, he said that the pipes/valve would need to be replaced soon, he said, "not tomorrow, but soon." I paid $126.40 and they left. The next day the bathtub started leaking again.

    I called the company the company the following Monday. The office worker said the plumber was off and she would call me to have him come by and check it out the next day. No one ever called. I called them back on Thursday and left a message, no one called. I called the following Monday. She said that the plumber said the pipes/valves needed to be replaced and he would call me to schedule the repair and an estimated cost. No one ever called. I've called and left messages with no response.

    I was prepared to pay to have the service fixed the right way the first visit on ***, but listened to the plumber who wanted to try an alternative first. Now I've had to call another plumber out to fix the work - we are scheduling it now. I've used Marler's Plumbing in the past and the work has been good, but they have stopped responding to me and how we can fix the problem.

    I would like a refund of the $126.40 I paid on ***.

    Marler's Plumbing Services has talked with complainant by phone and explained our position on trying most cost efficient repairs before resorting to expensive valve replacements. We apologized for not being able to get the valve replacement scheduled to meet her time frame and issued a full refund.
