On Monday 6/17/2024 I brought my car In for a standard oil change which was $92 and noticed the mechanic doing the change spent more time than usual under my hood. The next morning on Tuesday 6/18/2024 my car wouldn’t start and had to tow my car back to the shop. They told me I had a bad battery and it was leaking battery fluid, so I paid $361 for a new battery to be installed. Then on Thursday 6/20/2024 I went to leave for work and again my car wouldn’t start. They sent two mechanics to my house to jump my car off and bring it back to the shop where they then explained to me that the battery was fine but now I have a coolant leak coming from my water pump. On Friday 6/21/2024 my wife went to pick up the car from the shop and again the car wouldn’t start. I have now been out of work for a week due to these issue. I just bought my car in December and the car has had NO ISSUES for the 6 months that I’ve had it up until Monday when I got my oil changed. They are wanting to charge me for the repairs and will not give me my money back that I paid for a new battery even though my car is still not starting.

Mrs ****** vehicle has a computer issue causing serious battery damage and was recommended to dealership as my facility doesnt work on computers. Customer agreed to buy new batteries and we have honored warranty on those batteries. it was explained to customer automotive parts can fail at any time and we did no work around the batteries or water pump during her oil change. the batteries are under the passenger seat and water pump front left on the engine. we we were just making her aware of the water pump issue.  Customers issues are no fault to Express Oil Change and customer left as if she understood. batteries will have warranty still honored, no refund will be issued.
