Atlas pest control started out really good. We didn’t have any issues at first for two months. We haven’t heard anything from them. They haven’t came out in two months to spray my home when my husband contacted them about rescheduling for another time, even though they haven’t came out in two months, we noticed that they did a cancellation charge on his account. We did file with the bank, but the bank told us to also do a dispute with you guys because the contract is not holding up. They have contacted us back when I went on the website for this company they have did this till over 10 people. They refused to give the money back. Which is stealingBusiness Response

We appreciate your business and your feedback. We were notified that you wanted to cancel your contract and since you ended your contract early, we charged the cancelation fee as originally agreed upon. The contract that you signed and initialed was for a 12month term in which you started on 12/7/2023. Since you told us that you wanted to be cancelled in 08/21/2023 the 12 month contract was broken and so the cancellation fee was the $240 which was the discount we gave you at the beginning. Below is attached documents showing signed and initialed contract, messages from customer stating they wanted to cancel, and initials allowing us to charge the card.
If you would like to continue services with us again and finish your contract we would be happy to continue and credit the cancellation fee towards the services. We really do value your business and only charge customers cancellation fees if they break a contract with us.

I just rejected this contract. The business owner has blocked me and husband she failed to communicate with us. Without talking to us they will not call us back. They haven’t been out to the house in two months. If you go on there website. They do this to many customers. We held up our end by communicating all we wanted to was move days. And this is how it ends. I would definitely like to speak with someone I want the money back. Or I’ll just file a lean on there home. For nonpayment the choice is hers.

The owner was walking our neighborhood going door to door, he had an iPad and I was interested in the pest control but my husband was not home at the time so I asked if he could send me the details, he stated he could but I had to sign for him to email it to me. He did not state I was signing a contract. That evening my husband called after looking at the information and paid over the phone, the owner still did not state that we had a contract. They sent a guy out to spray, the guy informed me he doesn’t mix the spray as strong as they want him to because he doesn’t like it blowing back on him. Well after two weeks we still had ants, slugs, beetles, ect… in the yard, I emailed the company and told them what I just stated above, Amber from the office email me and said they would “ take care of us and get a different guy out to do a re-spray” she did not say they would charge us AGAIN! She said they would take care of us and do a redo. Well my husband called and they said they would not drop that second charge, and my husband called after the guy came out to ask about the charge because they took the money out our account that same day. They would not give us our money back after stating “they would take care of us” and did not tell me we would be charged again. So my husband said he wanted to cancel service with them, she said we would be charged $****** just to cancel service. Which I was told we could “cancel anytime” and the second spray was just as horrible because the guy did not do the whole front yard as stated he should. Now they are emailing, texting, and calling wanting money from us and stated it will be sent to collections. They will not get anymore money from us due to they took money for the re-spray after they said they would take care of us. Saying they would take care of us sounds like they will do it again on them since it was not done the right way the first time.Business Response

We clearly explained that if her husband gave us the go ahead to do the treatments, we would hold her to the contract she signed. She agreed to this and signed her name at the bottom of the contract. Her husband later agreed to do the service and so we did the initial service which started her contract. From our notes the technician put out * gallons of weed killer, * gallons of cross checks plus and * gallons of Tarus. The products looked like they were all properly diluted correctly. That should be enough product to cover her entire property and then some. It is common to see bugs two weeks later because the eggs are hatching and have not yet come into contact with the product yet. This is why we do a scheduled ** day follow up after the initial service. In the contract she signed it says exactly that, "eggs will be hatching and so we need to do a ** day follow up". She paid for the first service like agreed upon and then paid for the **day follow up as written in the contract. She then called in and canceled her contract pre-maturely.Customer Answer

But when the guy came out to sell the service he stated I didn’t have to read anything just sign to get the email sent with info. Also the second guy that came out he said he was not aware of any weed killer and therefore was not doing it. Also the lady from the office said “ we will take care of you since the first service was not done correctly.” So my husband and I took it that we would not get charged for them to do another spray, we were not aware they were doing the respray.Customer Answer

We expect anyone who signs any of our documents to read what they are signing after it was explained by the salesman. The document signed was only one page with one paragraph of terms listed. The reason why we document everything and make sure our customers sign, is because it will help us avoid hearsay. It is the responsibility of the signer to make sure they read what they are signing first. We also documented the dilutions of our products used in the yard after the service was performed. It looks like the customer received the weed killer and the pest control service as agreed upon. The technician doing the service will personally record what he did each time to make sure we aren't going on hearsay and that everything is accurate.Customer Answer

I understand where you are coming from and want to make sure your experience is better next time. We would have you sign the agreement again stating that you completely understand and acknowledge the terms. The reason why we do this is to make sure you know what our services include and what terms we ask you to follow in order to get the best results. On our end we will make sure to keep detailed notes making sure the amount of products used are correct and that there is an appropriate amount of time spent at your house to get the desired results.
In order to make up for the past misunderstanding we would like to offer $5* off your next service. Please let us know how you would like to proceed. We would be happy to get rid of your bugs this year.
Thank you.

We feel like we were scammed by this company. Their services were inefficient. Once they started coming the bug problem actually got worse. They arrived multiple times without ** being home. We tried to address the issue by canceling our services and they are trying to charge us a fee or send us to collections. Other people online are having the same problem. We dont feel we should pay because their services do not work. We ended up having to hire another company to get rid of the bugs. They were not able to accommodate what they had initially promised when coming to our door. One person said they feel like they spray fertilizer instead of bug spray and I agree.Business Response

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with us. I look forward to improving your experience now since we are aware of your situation. If you are having any issues with any pests that pop up in between services, then we will come back for free unlimited times to take care of the problem. Please take advantage of this free warranty that we are offing all of our customers. Each time we come out we use commercial grade products that are made to get rid of unwanted pests. It's common to see an increase of bug activity after we spray. This means the product is working because the pest are trying to run away from the products. Fertilizers are an extra add on designed to make your grass greener. These fertilizers are designed to affect the grass and not pest. If you desire to add on a fertilizer, we would be happy to give you a quote. Lastly, in order to get the best result, we ask you to agree to at least a 12month term of using us. We don't want to do you the disservice of only coming out a couple of times to treat and then stop and then all the pests come right back. Any customers that agreed to these terms also agree that if they discontinue early, they will be obligated to pay back the initial discount we gave them. We ask this of all customers so we have to be fair.
I hope this helps,
