My roof was replaced by Roof Medics in April of 2022. My roof leaked when we had heavy rain mid December of 2023. Due to the holiday it took several weeks for the warranty repair. The person assigned to the repair stated the roof was done incorrectly in one area causing the leak inside my home. For some reason they used 3-tab shingles in this area when they should have been architectural and the flashing was also done incorrectly. The company made the repair but used the wrong color and had to redo. Once the roof was repaired I inquired about my interior damage (caused by workmanship failure). After reaching out several times I was then put on ********* (Owner) schedule (2/21/24) but he failed to show. I have damage to my kitchen ceiling - and a possible mold issue in my insulation. I would not be in the situation if I had not had the roof replaced. I feel Roof Medics is responsible for this repair. I have several emails from them where they stated this was a workmanship problem. Please let me know if you can assist. The phone number I have on file for Roof Medic's is 912-231-7338. When I asked for my warranty, they sent me the attached - to me it is not the warranty, I had to ask a few times to get this  I do have the quote they gave me for the job which states there is a warranty for workmanship - I can send that too.  I am sorry your previous email was not in my junk folder.  I also have quite a few emails from ******* (Office Mgr.) stating I had a warranty for workmanship  She always promises that the owner ******* is going to call me.  The worker they sent to re-do the section of the roof was ************* - he stated the section of my roof they did was a mess.  Hoping this helps and I will then know what to do.

Roof Medic's did (2) of my family members roofs, their warranty paperwork looked different.

    Thank you,

    Business Response

First and foremost I would like to Thank Mrs ***** for her business, and we value all customer feedback! It’s essential in regards to helping us provide the best possible customer experience. Upon reviewing all the pertinent documentation, photos, and communication between my company and the customer, there is definitely a misunderstanding between those involved. As Mrs ***** stated, we initially installed her roof April of 2022. We received an email Saturday December 23rd 2023 from Mrs *****, After an extremely heavy storm producing 40-60 mph winds, and very heavy rain, that she had a roof leak from that storm, I was out of town and had closed my office for the Christmas holidays but was able to get a repair technician out the same day (12-23-2023) to provide an immediate tarp service because our suppliers were closed and we couldn’t get the required materials to preform a permanent repair. Once we commenced back to work from the holidays, we immediately went out to preform a permanent repair to the customers roof and even replaced moisture compromised decking in that area. Due to everyone being off for a week and trying to return to normal operations, their was an internal miscommunication in regards to shingle color. Once it was brought to our attention, we promptly went back out to replace that area with the correct color shingle, and compared package lot numbers on shingles to insure an exact match to existing roof. To my knowledge and understanding, Mrs ***** has not had any additional issues with her roof, but is concerned about moisture staining and/or damage to the interior ceiling of her home.  interior staining and damage isn’t something that is typically covered under warranties within the Roofing Industry. Essentially because it’s a separate trade that we don’t have people staffed to handle, and becomes a liability in the event of issue, but we strive for complete customer satisfaction and will reach out to Mrs ***** to find an amicable resolution for all involved.

Roof Medics has reached out to me and they are looking for someone to do the sheet rock work in my kitchen.

Their technician ****e came out and made repairs to the roof.  This was a workmanship problem; when they replaced the roof they apparently did not replace the flashing and they ran out of shingles and substituted a lesser quality 3 tab shingle, which did not match the architectural on the remainder of the roof (per our contract).  ****e stated the area of the leak was not shingled correctly and flashing was probably not replaced.   My roof never leaked prior to replacement - it was just old and time to replace.  The only reason I have the interior damage is due to faulty workmanship.  The leak caused all the insulation to get saturated until the water was filling a bucket in my kitchen.  The odor is now bad and the sheet rock is stained brown across the room.  +

******* (owner of Roof Medic's) has agreed to contact sheet rock companies and he awaiting their response.

At this point I am waiting to hear from someone that Roof Medic's locates to remedy my situation. Thank you, ***** **********
