    2 people came to my house - ****** and another guy whose name I forget. ****** was clearly knowledgeable as he explained things to me and immediately recognized that the way my system was laid out didn't make sense - it was built going uphill. He explained how it should have been constructed, including the use of pumps. The tank was overflowing and when they pumped it out, they realized that the filter was clogged. Even though the way our system was built wasn't the way he would have done it, it actually was functioning smoothly. He didn't try to talk me into making enhancements I didn't need. Just emptying it and cleaning the filter was all that was needed and all he charged me for. He said I shouldn't need anything for another 3 years. I really appreciate his honesty and his insight. He also sent me a "Do's and Don'ts" list since I'm new to septic tanks. Thanks ******!!
