    BED BUGS. Please be aware that we found bed bugs in our room on our bed. Background information: When we were checking in, there were several police cars in the parking lot. We were told by the front desk that there was a shot fired resulting in a suicide - don't know for sure. That should have been a sign to move on.On our second morning, my wife got up to use the bathroom and when she returned, there were bed bugs on her pillow. She caught one, and of course killed it, and saved it in a napkin.We packed up to check out and leave. At the front desk, we asked for the manager/owner to show him the bed bug. The lady working there said he would be there in an hour. We said we would go and get breakfast and return in an hour. When we got back, we were told it would be 3:00 that afternoon before he got there.We call the police to report a health problem and to file a complaint and have this situation on file. The officer came and took our statement and even got the bed bug my wife had on her body cam. We have a copy of the report. We went to the ************ web site and filled out their complaint form. Their response was this is a franchise, and we need to take this up with the property management. We have tried and no response to date. This place is lacking in general maintenace and upkeep. Definitely not worth the nearly $300.00 a night we were charged. Shame on Baymont by ****** in *****, **. This place does not deserve a star, in fact it deserves "X's". THIS PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED BY **.

    I would give this place even less of one star if offered. Last minute much needed getaway is giving me more stress trying to get my money back for NOT staying there. I was there 10 minutes, the room was not acceptable, I returned to the desk right away for a refund. When I returned home and found I still had not received it several days later, I called and was told it would take 10 days. After 10 days, still no refund. The hotel desk clerk then told me to call the customer care for the chain. I had already tried talking to the manager, who is conveniently never there or not available. I have left my number 3x. Between calling the 'manager' of the hotel who never returns my call and getting someone to offer to write up a report at the customer care line (which I had to submit my paperwork from Baymont AND paperwork for where I ended up staying), I am now one month overdue for a refund. I'm calling a thief a thief. I've asked all of them for a higher up the chain number or email and am put off and not given one. No one really wants to make sure their 'customer' is taken care of. I give this place a 2 thumbs down. You never know who you're customer is, and should treat them all like they're going to spend lots of money in your business. The owners of ********** taught me that, years ago when I worked for them. This business will never get any more of my business or my family's. Sad days when we treat people badly. Know better. Do better. ***********************.
