      All units are infested with rats, no resolution an on going issue this has damaged my things in storage

      We
      feel terrible about the situation our contract stipulates that the tenant is
      responsible for their goods while in storage. This is because we do not know if
      the tenant stored food or brought in mice or the condition of their goods when
      they initially moved in. We have referred them to the file a claim. We have been and still are inspecting every unit and thus far have found several tenants in violation of the lease by storing food. These tenants have had their lease terminated.

      I am a United States soldier and recently returned from a 5 month deployment in December 2023. I rented a unit from Storage sense in Hinesville, GA in June 2023 and expected that all of my belongings would be kept safe. Unfortunately upon my return, my storage unit and all of my personal/work items in the unit are contaminated with rat feces and rat urine. I have personal valuables that have been chewed through and eaten. I have emailed their corporate office in hopes that I could get reimbursed but because I do not have the additional insurance that they offered I am unable to get reimbursed. The assistant store manager, Paden Eller also states that the insurance company that they use only reimburses up to $*** for pest/rodent damage. I also called my insurance and unfortunately they do not cover pest/rodent damage as well and stated that Storage Sense should fully cover damages. I am paying $*** for a climate controlled unit inside of a building. The Manager and Assistant manager said that they are fully aware of their rodent problem and said that this is a problem that they are working to fix but this business needs to be shut down!

      site storage. We referred the tenant to their insurance company.

      After further conversation with the workers, they are aware of the rodent infestation that this business has. On last Friday, 9 February, a worker shook my hand and thanked me for reporting this infestation so it is not any of the tenants fault for this businesses rodent infestation and I am highly displeased with the theft from this business. This is theft! Because knowing that they are infested with rodents and continue to advertise your services is despicable.

      In 2022, I rented a unit from this storage facility. My moving company from my job was set to get my things one year later. My things were rat infested, wet and molded, had maggots and rotted. The company (for safety reasons) would not allow the movers to touch any of the things that was molded, or rat infested. He moved a box a of shoes and maggots came out. There was no food in my unit and the front desk manager looked at the roof damage in my unit and stated that it should not have been rented. She then claimed I would get the full amount for damages. When I pointed out the water damage she snarkley stated that I should have had damp packs and do not mention the water damage to the insurance company - to only mention the rat droppings. When I did that and submittedk 1k damages out of the 2k insurance I had, I was told I would only get 500 dollars. My bed (fabric) was worth more than that!! The insurance adjuster was rude and nasty when I mentioned the unfairness of it all and I lost a box of my shoes, my son shoes and a bed and that was just the big things I cared about. In my current home, I still have boxes with rat droppings in them since the boxes are worn out due to all the rain inside the unit endured. They have all my pictures and the pictures that the moving company showed them as they were moving my things. So since I had to fly, everything the moving company said they couldn't take, had to be thrown away. The storage company and the insurance I was paying for, for over a year had ripped me off.
