Reference $500 deposit dispute with Lavski Autos and Campers Friday June 16, 2023 I went to view a 2013 Keyston Sprinter listed for sale. Found on Marketplace. Arrived at dealership and found the back end of the camper to have severe water damage. Laminate had released and was obviously rounded. Was shown a 2013 ************************ Silverback by ****(?). Found camper to be in a more represented condition and wanted to pursue further. I arranged to bring husband for a 10am appointment on Saturday June 17 to see the camper. (Ex. B)Saturday June 17, 2023 We decided we wanted to move forward with purchase after having unit turned on and discussing some furniture requests. Lavski asked for a $500 deposit. We advised them of our pre-approval and that we could complete the process on Tuesday. Our agreed upon sell price was $17,000. As it was Saturday and the bank would be closed on Tuesday, we asked whether the $500 would be returned to us when we completed the paperwork. We were told yes, multiple times. Lavski wanted a payment of $17,000 we would have the deposit returned. We asked that the check not be deposited since it made no sense to exchange money back and forth like that on Tuesday. **** with Lavski agreed not to deposit the check. **** with Lavski advised if they did end up cashing the check, they would hand us the cash back. **** sent a copy of the ******* title and a ******** document along with the first copy of the bill of sale we signed at the dealership. The original bill of sale did not list the purchase price, taxes, or any dealer fees. It also did not mention the deposit. (Ex. C, D, E)I will add more information, but after several back and forth's with our bank, Lavski was unable to provide the necessary paperwork to complete the transaction to the bank's satisfaction. We were denied a return of our deposit after asking many times if it was refundable.
