On January 5, ****, I went into Neighbors Market (**) at ********************** to purchase cigarettes. I was on my way home from an event; I had to work that night starting at 8pm. I was in the ** between 7 and 8. I purchased 2 packs of cigarettes and 2 Family Feud scratch offs. He put everything in the bag and I left. On 1/7/24 while checking my bank account online, I noted the $241.97 charge at SUGARLOAF ********** LAWRENCEVILE GA 01/05. How dare they? Anyway I went back to the store to tell them I wanted the receipt from 1/5/24 between 7pm and 8pm. They told me they would get it (or the money) back to me the next day. The next day when I went there, he told me I didnt see you on the camera, so you probably went to another store. Then, since my husband frequents this gas station, he had the nerve to say: maybe it was your husband, we have a picture of him at the *** on that date at 6:46pm. I told him, maybe, but not with my debit card. ** has his own bank card. I used MY card in THIS store between 6:45pm and 7:30pm on 1/5/24, and I would like them to produce the receipt they did not give to me. He told me again, he would check with the boss, because he didnt see me on camera as being in the store. When I asked him: well how the h*** did the bank get this information? How and why would they put this on my statement if it didnt happen? He said: come back tomorrow. He will talk to the boss. I told him, yea, right. No problem. Ill talk to the bank. And I left.I just want my change from this transaction - $206.97 - that was charged to my Debit card. I was told by my bank that Neighbors Market should have, and should be able to produce, the receipt. Im still waiting. While I can afford this loss, I should not have to. I have been frequenting that gas station since 2017. Some nerve. Anyway, they need to resolve because I wont stop. If I have to *** them in small claims court, that's the next step.
