      On 1/6/25 I went in for my yearly visit with Dr. ****** to have my sun spots/freckles treated with liquid nitrogen, involves zapping 10 or 15 spots to maintain clear skin. It was a quick in and out visit. I normally would be charged $150.00 for this service in the past; upon my surprise when I went to the front desk they advised me the total was $259.00. I'm not one who likes confrontation so I paid the bill in full that day which is standard past procedure. I figured that Dr. ****** will be retiring soon as he sold his practice to Advanced Dermatology and it was time to move on. Sadly, the office seems to have lost it's charm. On March 21st I went to my P.O. Box to pickup my mail and lo and behold there was an invoice from Advanced Dermatology stating I had a balance of $24.00. The statement said "Final Notice". For one, I've never received an invoice prior to the one received today. I take that as pay up now or else. I take great pride in making sure my bills are paid in a timely manner. The bill reads Subtotal $806.00, Insurance covered $-0, Provider adjusted $-523.00, You paid so far $259.00, Amount you owe (subtotal) $24.00. Are you kidding me, to zap a few freckles? I see a trend here as I went online this evening and noted some recent reviews that were not very complementary and seem to be on the same theme as my complaint. I called their customer service that's noted on the front of invoice. I spoke to a customer service *** by the name of ***** I explained the noted above and clearly was not happy about the situation. She started to laugh.. I said are you serious you're laughing at this matter? She apologized. Bottom line I told her the $24.00 needed to be corrected and another invoice needed to be mailed to me as proof. She put me on hold to get assistance as she said she was knew. She said I would receive something in the mail showing the correction. I have a concern it won't be corrected after how she handled herself over the phone.

      On approximatly 10/22 and 4/23 i went to *************** Dermatology, subsituary of Advanced Dermatology for skin cancer check-up. The first appointment was $180 and the second was $738 for the same procedure. I phoned, wrote a letter and stopped in the local office here in *******, ** and no one would address the problem, only to say that I could make an appointment with the provider (person who did the work) and that would be charged money. At the corporation office in *******, ** - I called and wrote a letter and got no response. My insurance company paid some and I paid the rest, cause I didn't want it to go to collections

      I visited Advanced Dermatology in **********, ** on 2/28/22. My insurance company (************** State Health Plan) paid the fee of $156.88 electronically on 3/14/22 and the check cleard on 3/16/22, endorsed by *********************, MD. We continue to receive bills for this same amount. We have made 11 phone calls, talked to 9 different people, sent a copy of our EOB twice, had the insurance company send a copy of the canceled check to them to no avail. No one ever calls us back and we have to go through the whole story every time we call. The only person we have gotten to do anything was *************************** but now we cannot get her on the phone. I have read reviews on their website and numerous people are having the same issue. The last bill came yesterday and now they are threatening to send our account to a collections agency. I am at a loss as to where to turn to correct this issue. Hope you can help us. BTW...my husband had an appointment on the same day as I did and his account is paid, as far as we can tell. We have not receive any bills for him but were told during one phone call that his payment was "pending". Please help!
